Happy Birthday to your DD1, Mumto5.
GWS vibes to your DD4, Skinty - hope the lurgy doesn't spread through the whole household and hang around until Christmas, as if you haven't got enough on your plate as it is. Any news of your boiler replacement?
Thank you for this week's list, Dusty, and for last week's, Natty.
This week I am pleased to say that we have a head start, as yesterday evening was spent clearing the HSL ready for the vinyl flooring to be laid today in the hall, DR, kitchen and bathroom :j The lounge has become a temporary home to the DR and kitchen tables (in bits!) but will be put straight later today. Yesterday I hoovered the small sofa and we moved that back from the kitchen into the lounge - it's beginning to look like a proper home at last. We also moved the TV back and even sat and watched Strictly - great to see it on a bigger screen than the laptop!
If it's crossed through, it's already done!
Monday - living room, hallway, stairs
15 minutes
[STRIKE]Clear the floor of clutter[/STRIKE] - we have absolutely no clutter in these rooms
Wipe the mantle and coffee table - both still under wraps until the unpacking is complete
30 minutes to spare ...
Vacuum the [STRIKE]stairs and hallway and [/STRIKE]living room
Give the downstairs loo, sink etc a good clean
Got an hour....
Wash the windows
Sweep your step, [STRIKE]tidy your porch [/STRIKE] - no porch = one less room to deal with- and wash down the paintwork to make it welcoming
Write some cards if you need to Flylady cards will be winging their way to Natty soon
Extras
Get yours overseas cards in the post some last dates are this week. Check dates here
Sort out toys/DVDs/books - any for re-homing before gifts arrive - will do this as I empty the packing cases.
Hope everyone has a good week. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks available as needed. Glad to report that my DH's BD has slunk away again for now, only returning for short visits occasionally. Last Wednesday was bad and I really don't want a repeat of that, but the silly old so-and-so won't get himself an appointment with the GP, and trying to persuade him just makes him worse.0 -

I'm in again this week but possibly working from my own lists again instead/as well as.
I am feeling very awake after my first non-decaffeinated coffee since Friday! Good job too as I only had about 4 hours sleep if that last night. DD has gone off to school in a mood again. I think it might be tiredness so early nights tonight I think.
I need to get my window done, but I can only do it during daylight hours so I plan on starting that at 9am after the kids have all gone past on the way to school. Already had a couple of shocked kids at 'the lady painting on her window!" and "SNOWMAN!!!!" :rotfl: I love seeing their faces as more and more gets done
Personal for the week:
Bank /errands
Order in for work WED
Thur: Parents evening
Shredding
Ironing
Monday - living room, hallway, stairs

PERSONAL MONDAY:
Work : collect books (school & list), delivery
Window: outlines
Bath

Budget/accounts
I am off to do some dailies in a minute, then I'm going to get on with my window. Doing all the outlines today and I've found a very fine paintbrush in a cheap set I bought so the cocktail sticks can stay in the cupboard a little longer :rotfl:

DS has kindly shared his cold with me and I feel grot+++. I will be going back to bed after the list is done and hopefully the ama7on delivery will come before I do that.
Back to work tonight. Feels a bit funny. Don't know who I'll be working with. I had been warned by my colleague who's up there now that it is really slow compared to what I'm used to so thought I'd take in my iPad. It's now not working. It will not charge at the wall and is barely charging when plugged into the laptop. I'm so gutted
. We can't afford another one though so will have to share the laptop (which is also on it's last legs).
Right, moan over, Dailies done. had you bring this from last weeks thread in case anyone missed it i thought it was brilliant!Honey_Bear wrote: »It being 1st December, I thought it was about time I started thinking about making this:
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
lemon juice
4 large eggs
lots of nuts
1 bottle Gin (Sloe Gin will do at a push)
2 cups of dried fruit
Method
Sample the gin to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the gin again. To be sure it is the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it’s best to make sure the gin is still OK.
Try another cup ... just in case. Turn off the mixerer.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick fruit off floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried fruit gets stick in the beaterers pry it loose with a sdrewscriver.
Sample the gin to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who giveshz a sh*t.?
Check the gin.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven and p1ss in the fridge.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don’t forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the gin and dance around the house naked.
Fall into bed.
CHERRY MISTMAS!
thank you for posting that honey bearSPC~12 ot 124
