    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hello everyone,

This week's update has been done. We are now just a few thousand short of collectively overpaying by half a million pounds so far this year! Amazing effort so very well done to all who have taken part.

However, we are some way short of our overall target for the year of just under £911,000. We've had a lot of people who signed-up but haven't posted any overpayments yet. These are all marked in red in the first post so if you know any of them, please encourage them to drop by this thread and update on any progress they have made towards being mortgage free. :)

As usual, all OPs have been marked with a 'Thanks' and the links to the spreadsheet on Dropbox and Google Drive can be found in the first thread.

Have a great week all. :)

Am away during the week, so advance notice for OP.

A measly Op for #127 in October of £25 :P

Well with sproglets incoming in October and SS are involved, I guess these OP will now be miniscule.

BTW, I don't want to, but can I reduce my target to £2,500? This will still be a challenge, but I won't stress me as much if I fail dismally?

Just realised I haven't posted on here in a while, but have made 2 overpayments since my last update!

    #124 has repaid £2500 of £4000 target

Not sure if we'll manage the other £1500 between now & the end of December, but DH could potentially get a decent bonus between now & then, so we shall see!

Edit - Sorry should have added- of the £1500 we have paid since last update, £500 was June and £1000 was September!

  • OP made today of £250 for #50, my only one for September, which means next payday I will meet my target :j
But as we're saving for an extension I don't think the money will get wasted somehow!

    Thanks JCL
  • Hi JCL,

#111 checking in with another OP of £500 for October. Still way off target for year but waiting for DH's savings plan to mature mid month, when hope to make up for the deficit! Thanks.
