I'm so relieved, but also a bit scared about what comes next. DH and I would like to retire early, but don't want to be skint. We have 2 children to put through Uni first (hopefully) so I definately have new challenges ahead.
Thankyou all for your support on this forum - especially JCL for keeping the spreadsheet up to date. :T

This week's update is done. We have now collectively over paid more than half a million pounds!!! Well done everyone who has contributed to that total and taken their own steps to becoming mortgage free. Let's keep it going between now and the end of the year!
Talking of being mortgage free - congratulations Ruthy1604 - must be a great feeling to have everything in place, ready to pay off the house.
Welcome back to kandfs mam - glad to hear everything worked out for you.
Well done also to those who have reached their 2014 targets already! Great work.
Have a brilliant week everyone and keep those overpayments going.MFW 2015 #41 = £20,515/£20,515

Hello.....could I join in please?
Bit late in the year to be posting I know, but would like to keep focused as have been slipping a bit on my overpayments.
I will join next year's thread....but for now could I just join to keep me going for now at the tail end of this one?
Aim for rest of this year , at least £800.
Thanks.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Never too late to join calicocat - well unless it's 2015!
I will add you to the spreadsheet when I make the next update - probably at the weekend.
Kansaskitty - I've checked back and you've definitely not posted any overpayments in this thread since January. I will add those you've given at the next update.MFW 2015 #41 = £20,515/£20,515

No 99 here, realising I have neglected to post here for some time. At least I kept up with the payments though.
Apr - June £500 per month, Aug - Oct £500 per month. So that's £3000 in total.
I promise to try to be better at updating in future.2014 MFW 99 - Overpayment Target £4000/£4000
