TalkTalk business charges

I have been a customer of TT business ever since they took over Nildram - about 5 years ago and have been charged random amounts ever since then...

I complained about my poor treatment, 12 months ago and was offered 12 months free broadband as compensation

In the meantime, TTB has reduced the cost of it's broadband to £4 per month (unlimited) - with a phone line at £14.50 per month (both plus VAT) - And, now - on returning to my full cost package - they intend to charge me the same as 12 months ago (ie £23.95 + vat) - Rather than the new price of £18.50 + vat
I don't think that this is right

If you are out of minimum term again, then ask them to match the new price, or supply your MAC.
'Right' doesn't come into it-but you hold all the cards.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Get away from them as soon as you can, they are totally unprofessional.

I'm just about to pay a cancellation fee of £120 to leave them for a proffesional service and consider it worth it. I have both business and personal accounts and will be getting rid of them all for good.

On business, they now refuse to send me a bill (as agreed with the orgional contract via email) and instead expect me to log in to a service every month to access an online bill to download. I'm going to take this up with Ofcom but you would think they would wave a £3 monthly fee to send me a paper copy of my bill to leep the longevity of my business @ £60 pm - their loss!

On personal, the service has been appauling to say the least with signal drops and even out of service (both landline and broadband) upto a week at a time.

I'd rather pay more for a better service and professional company.

I am not a business - never have been and never will be - I am a private individual, who for some reason - ended up with TT BUSINESS !!

If they think that they are going to get a single penny out of me - to provide a MAC code - they will find that they have a big problem
When I transferred from Nildram - there was no mention of any payment to be made, if and when I left them...My time with TT has been almost 5 years - so no contract to worry about...£120 eh - no way ??

You do realise this is standard practice with most companies ie free bills online or a few quid pm for paper bills? Good luck with complaining to Ofcom cos you're going to need it!

If you move to a different ISP these problems won't magically go away as it appears you have a line fault or internal wiring issues, though i'll admit the new ISP may do more to resolve these issues - especially the likes of AAISP or Zen.

They want me to sign up for a new 24 month contract - in order to get this cheaper account - saving over £5 per month !!!
I am not very happy with this and have emailed the CEO
What a way to treat a long term customer

You won't get a sensible retention offer until you ask for your MAC. Playing the 'loyalty' card does not work.

Thanks - I have asked for my MAC - I am prepared to change ISP's !!
How long do they have to give me the code and I assume that they are not allowed to charge for this - since I am out of contract ?
Also - will they stop my email address from receiving emails - straight away or do I get a period of "grace" ?

MAC within 5 working days-no charge.
It's not possible to say when you will lose email access, but assume it will be on the date your service ends.
