goodness i left primary in 2003, never thought at the end of the decade they would be having proms !!we got a dictionary and everyone signed each others shirts, i to think proms should be left for the end of secondary, i mean primary is compulsory its no acheivement that a child managed to get through their first 7 years of education, unlike leaving secondary and moving on to uni, work etc

My not standard sized 11 yo had her primary prom just before the summer hols. My budget was nil as school was kind enough to tell us three weeks in advance that formal dresses would be needed. I eBayed two dresses for under a tenner. One fifties style pink and white checked with a bow at the back and a bridesmaid type white one with chiffon. Houserules are: no make up or high heels until you are sixteen. She was convinced she would be the only one. In the end we settled on a see through lipgloss, sparkly earrings and some sparkly flats. I think she looked stunning.I never realized how much personal info is out there that can be used and abused to suit every purpose.0

Terrible to drag up a three year old thread, at the wrong time of year, on a website that's as switched on to a bad deal as this one tends to be, with "report spam" buttons at the bottom of every post...
