Received email today. Migration from AOL to TT will occur on 3rd Jan.
Once this has been completed then Fibre will be sorted.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Merry Christmas0 -
Happy New Year.
Here's an update:
Yesterday was "line and broadband" go live day. Up until I went to bed at 11pm I was still on AOL. This morning I seem to be on TT as my Account is now showing live. An email telling me I was now live with TT would have been useful.
I am still using my old D Link router with the same AOL login details. I tried the HG523a router they sent me and its so much slower.
Synch speed has reduced from 4200 to 3245?? and download speed down about .4mb
Lets see how it goes.0 -
Hi Rwalton,
1stly your deal looks Great! almost too good to be true? sorry for doubt!
I am considering renewing with talk talk but I would prefer fibre, my current deal is bad, although I have been with them for years.

International Boost 04 Dec 13 - 03 Jan 14 £0.00
Privacy Pack 04 Dec 13 - 03 Jan 14 £0.00
Total advance month charges £35.90
Plus international mobile calls usually extra £25-30
I am willing to pay line rental in advance, is that what you did?
They have offered me;
£43.40
line rental incl
fibre 76mb incl
unlimited calls incl
unlimited internet incl
international boost call 35 counties incl
1000 Mobile Minutes Boost £5
What do you think I should ask for the offer does not seem very good and I am out of contract ?
Huge appreciative thanks in ADVANCE!!!0 -
hermonk. I had a complaint with the service I received and duly contacted the TT CEO. Since that time the service I have received from her Office Manager has been simply outstanding. I suggest you see how much you would pay a rival company and then go back to TT and lay it on thick to see what their best deal is.
Update:
TalkTalk have tweaked my line speed and put it back to where it was with AOL.
Fibre being installed Mon 13th Jan.
Truly exceptional service from the CEO Office Manager.0 -
Let's hope BT don't turn up and decide you can't get fibre after all - from previous experience this happens a lot too! The databases of who can and cannot get fibre don't seems too brilliant...

Thank you not mattyprice4004

That's all I need. My wife will be at home so hope it goes well or I'll have to start emailing a certain CEO!0 -
All installed and working.
BT engineer needs to show more care and attention. Wires left in a mess and he left his rubbish behind. Anyway, all tidy now.
Speed is 10x what I'm used to.
