No. No basic accounts do, only full current accounts with an offline card.0

Thanks, About to go and fill up at unmanned Asda station later. I'll have to transfer some cash over to my other account first.0

Nationwide,HSBC, Danske all work at pay at pump for their basic accounts. I'm pretty sure some of the others do to.
My Santander card is an Online card and that works at it.
My Coventry BS Savings card also does and that's an Online card.
It has nothing to do with the card being Offline. The bank decides what it allows to work.0 -

Other way round. Purple Natwest cards are "full featured" offline cards and work fine at pay-at-pump, blue cards are the ones given out to people they see as a bad credit risk and are online-only cards, and so won't work at most pay-at-pump stations.0 -
blue electron cards dont work just the purple ones - i dont bank with natwest there crap had to ring 4 times ended making a complaint as i wanted the upgraded card.
Switched account and i have 3 account 2 basic and one full flex they all work with petrol pumps cash account at tsb and barclays cash card (for bills only)
everyone should dump rbs / natwest they dont value there customers at all0 -

Maybe they had a valid reason to not extend you the credit line that comes with the purple card?
I had a blue card on my joint account with my other half (we were given a blue card as we didn't bring enough address ID for my other half when originally opening the account so they marked her as an "unverified" joint holder or something) and we asked it to be upgraded recently (having subsequently had her address verified), it took 2 minutes on 1 phone call.0 -
