I'm off to google and see if I can find a pattern to make a bespoke bag.

failing that it will end up as a peg bag!
  • I am so pleased I found this thread today. I have been planning to revamp my boys' packed lunches and this thread has given me loads of ideas. I have ordered them laptop lunch boxes so their lunches next week should be much more appetising.

I've also found a pattern for a bento bag, so I now need to find some nice fabric to try and make the bag. Try being the word of choice here

  • Does anyone know where in UK I can buy one of these:
Mr Bento or something similar without having to register for Ebay?? Bento is all very well, but I now have snow and I need a warm lunch! I do have a Thermos flask but it is only lukewarm by the time I open it which might only be 2 hours later. Any suggestions please? I'm in a van all day so microwave is out and I don't want to have to start buying lunch again every day as it's sooooo bloomin expensive.

    TIA :)
  • Now you're just showing off.

    Tsk

  • Nooooo, not showing off at all, it's too bloomin cold for a cold lunch and I'm not paying £5 or more a day for hot food and coffee when I can DIY at home :p:p:p:p:p:p
  • Just discovered the bento box and thought i would restart this thread for 2009!
How is everyone getting on with theirs?
I cant believe i have gone through 28yrs of life without knowing of the bento...and my aunt used to live in Japan!!!!!!!!!!
I love the little egg moulds but our school has no egg rule because of allergies (and no nut, peanut butter, kiwi aswell!) however i will use them for weekends!!
    it takes more energy
    to hate than to love...
    love and relax!
