  • Morning all!

It's grim out there this morning! Windy and wet, so I'll be staying in!

Got some school work to get on with today (although did 7 hours of it on Saturday, so I'm well ahead of the game). So I'll just drink my coffee then crack on.
Didn't get to sleep to ages last night (took a sleeping tablet in the end), so I didn't wake up until late. boo hiss.
Because it's fun to have money!

  • Well I have totally lost track this month - it all went to pot with my cat getting sick and having to go the vets several times.

Oh well. I defo managed 5 - probably more but it was a hard month for me and this wasn't top of my list of things to do.

I'm just going to try again in January :D

Lovely long lie in here today, even the cat slept late. Kinda feel like we're all waiting to see out the old year and crack on with 2014 now. Lazy day here, did feel guilty for sleeping so late, then though 'why not, I'm on holiday, it's been a busy year and no doubt 2014 will be too' plus it saves on having the heating on :rotfl:

Think I'll download a new kindle book in a bit as haven't read for a while, luckily I have some amazon vouchers stashed away.

Sorry I've been lax in my NSD thread-updating duties....can't believe Christmas has been and gone already! Work got a bit manic in the run-up to Christmas and preparation and celebrations took up a lot of time. :xmastree:

Looks like I missed a great time at the panto - the egg wine sounded yummy....or maybe not _pale_

Front page is all updated - and Sazzie, I've copied and pasted your in-a-row update too. There have been some fantastic totals this month, especially with the temptations placed in our way in December :rotfl:

ETO, I don't mind setting up January's thread as things seem to have calmed down again....and I'm not back at work till 6th January :j:j. Let me know though, don't want to just go off and do it if you've already got it in hand :)

    Hi everyone

Just popped in to ask you all to take a look at

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4853502

It's about moving the challenges to a sub forum so we don't take over the front pages and are easier to find

    Cheers everyone

Think this is a really good idea sazzie :)

  • Hi all been such a busy month for me so i haven't posted. Anyway I have reached 15 NSD's for the month which was my target and i am currently trying to set a budget for next year and sort out my spending which has gone to pot recently.
    #Sealed pot #085.
    1 debt versus 100 days £108.32/£300:j
    Debt Jan 2016 £6877.37. Aug £6155.56
    xmas saving £1 a day 274/366.
  • Yikes, it's a good job I reached my target before Christmas this month! Although I did know getting NSDs would be trickier when at home. Not had a NSD for a few days but hopefully I can claim tomorrow as one (have already bought all the bits for tomorrow evening's party). And my budget for January is still on track, astonishingly, despite me spending a bit too much on wine today (am a wine snob and saw a favourite at £10 as opposed to £16...).
    Novuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866
Credit card debt free! Now on the journey to mortgage free.
  • So NSD no. 6 yesterday! But, bearing in mind I have to get new years dinner tonight and going out for NYE tomorrow, I will not hit my target :(

    2014 - £365 in 365 days! #17 - £30
