Or cocunut milk - cheaper in like/al always works for me

Oh good point! Yes, that would work better. I'm allergic to coconut milk so I always forget that's an option. I have been known to throw some almond milk in a curry when I've overdone the spices, as well.

Can you add some yoghurt or cream to it, and maybe get a naan to go with it? (You can get them fairly cheaply in packs of two, and freeze the second). I find even the worst curry can be improved by some cream and a naan.

I did think about that, and did actually have some with some yoghurt last night, but tbh, I don't think it was worth the cost of the can of coconut milk, just didn't really float my boat, think it was the rice not cooking v.well, and it was an all in one pot thing. Hey ho. It said serves 2-3 and I got two meals out of it as OH had some so not a total waste.

  • #6 done!

Had my tea and done some marking of my classes maths books.
I've learnt from long experience that the best way to do any work I've brought home is to do it pretty much as soon as I walk in the door. That way, I'm still in "school mode", and can then relax into the rest of my evening knowing that it's done and out of the way.
It's a case of shoes/bag/coat away, trip to the loo, a glass of water, then sit down and do it.

Been bombarded with a lot of stuff today, so might have a sneaky small glass of vino to soothe the nerves. ;) Don't tell anyone!

  • Hi all,

A little late but I am new to MSE, can I join and aim for 9 NSDs this month?

My first NSD is today! Is harder than I thought actually. Surprising how often I run to Sainsburys in the evening just pick something up!:o Would have done tonight too and spent a fortune but was determined to have my first NSD!

    Thanks.
