Local waste dump charging for DIY waste

I don't have a car thanks to parking round here being tight. So when you drive your waste to the tip, my council tax is subsidising that.

Part of the cost of any project is the cost of waste disposal.

Reading this it just dawned in me that the tip we visit (3 miles away) is actually in the next county (Dorset) and having a quick peruse on our council's website shows me that the one we *should* be using would take over half an hour to reach :eek:

(It's a bit confusing as we have a Wilts postcode (SP) - the same in fact as the location of the tip we use and most people assume our address in in Dorset, usually putting our village name, then Dorset when sending mail plus when we moved here two years ago we automatically assumed the one that was closest was actually in our county!!!).

What with that and the fact we've got through at least twenty skips since we bought this place two years ago makes me glad we've almost finished the major work
