  • roguey - I love YSL Touche Éclat but it is pricey.

Ok, time to declare my INs:

    34. Sephora chocolate body wash 8ml
    35. Sally Hansen Diamond Strength 13ml
    36. Leo Bancroft Irresistibly Shiny shampoo 50ml
    37. Leo Bancroft Irresistibly Shiny conditioner 50ml
    38. Leo Bancroft Irresistibly Shiny mask 50ml
39-40. Hawaiian Tropic after sun aloe gel 200ml

    57-58. Sanctuary bath float 75ml
59-60. Sanctuary intensive heel balm 75ml

Very happy with this lot as I love Sanctuary - doubt I will need to buy anything other than shave gel, deodorant and toothpaste for the whole of 2014! :rotfl:

Also collected my sale order so in:

61-63. Philosophy Purity Made Simple 90ml

My plan is to at least make a start on a stash spreadsheet today, I now have so much that I definitely need to keep a better track of it. I'll start with toiletries and then do makeup and nail products if I have time...

  • Ooh. Yay! Just discovered this thread with one day to go, having been an absentee from the other 'no more toiletries' thread for several months.

Having said that, the reason I've not been here is partly because last year I managed to crack the toiletry thing. By that I mean I still have a lot but nowhere near as much as I used to and I've resisted temptation to buy things. :A

Would like to start again with the Jan 2014 challenge as I did buy some unneeded  bath bits with Christmas money and don't want to start on the slippery slope! :o
  • Last ins for the year:

2 X Wisdom Xtra toothpastes: Basket filler items for Amazon order. Nothing special to them, they do the job.

Weleda Skinfood for dry and rough skin.
  • Three more UU's! The L'Oreal EverPure hair mask, and my Naked Shampoo and Conditioner (although I still have the tub for the hair mask as I like to mix some hair dye with my conditioner to keep the colour fresh).
    No more goo hoarding!

2 UU's for the year end:-

2ml Liz Earle Botanical Essence 100. Light and fresh, but do not intend to buy any new fragrances for many months, lots to work through first.

7g Benefit ooh la lift. The skin under my eyes is very delicate and I have decided that all the concealers I have tried to date make my look worse.

    2 IN's to declare:-

Superdrug brightening hot clothe cleanser, have been wanting to try these for ages, this was on half price offer (sadly not the Vit E one though)

Simple Sensitive Face Wipes for emergencies and feeling grotty and lazy evenings!

    Some more in's :o
    Body shop shower gels x4 : 2 satsuma, 1 almond, 1 ginger
Body shop coconut body butter (mini size)

And a uu: elemis frangipani shower cream, a small 50ml size, I absolutely love this and have a couple of full sized ones in the stash

Almost forgot I have ordered 2 tins of steam cream from tesco (I really must stop reading the grabbit board)
    Happy pampering, xo

Kadison - nice haul, have you found room for it all?

    Welcome catslovelycats!

4 hours later and I have finally finished my toiletries stash list. It totals 249 items, which was less than I expected but seeing everything together was pretty scary - I have way more than one person could possibly need and it has been a real wake-up call, I actually felt pretty sick :o

The positive is that I now know exactly what I have, I have reorganised everything so that all similar items are stored together again (no mean feat given the volume of Christmas INs!) and I have some lovely products which I am looking forward to using over the coming new year :) It has made me even more determined not to buy anything, and I expect to save lots of money in 2014 by being able to shop my stash! Currently when I have a UU which I'm able to replace with a stash item I save the replacement cost (and overpay my mortgage with it) - I saved a good few hundred pounds since starting the challenge in April and I plan to continue with this for 2014 - my target is to "save" £1,000 over the coming year...

Sorry for the long post... see you all next year! Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2014 brings you lots of happiness and love :)

sundays girl, paying extra off the mortgage with the money saved by shopping your stash is a great idea, I really think that I should transfer the money into my savings account as I bought a food mixer and a laptop and helped my family financially and have not replaced all the money used yet.

In their wisdom the bank with the handsome horse decided that my current account should be moved to the T*B, but kept my credit card and easy saver account themselves, so moving funds around is a little more complicated, NY resolution is to get the new payments for shuffles set up and get on with it!!

dolly, thanks - see everyone over there.

    Have a good NYE.
