Galaxy Stores review

Had a misfortune of ordering stuff from galaxy stores

They sent a mail after few days stating that they cannot deliver the goods and offered alternatives

After a long chase they agreed to cancel the order, but in the weeks that followed there was no refund made by them.

They have no phone number (the featured number has a long recorded message asking for mail to be sent instead) and the sales option on IVR has an introductory recorded message stating that it is purely a sales line and the staff have no visibility of orders currently placed!

I must have sent them umpteen mails to which I have received no replies!

It is quite surprising that such disgraceful stores exist and are allowed to operate.

Two words of advice: Stay away.

    Are you talking about www.galaxystores.co.uk?

You have mentioned a couple of times about mailing them.
Do you mean email or real mail?

There is an Edinburgh address on their contact us webpage.

Probably time to send them a letter before action.

This CAB page gives information on a LBA:

Their rating on amazon is only 2.7/5. Their about page on amazon lists their address as

How did you pay, probably about time to talk to your card company if appropriate?
  • Hello Wealdroam, pmduk,

    Yes thats the store.
    As of now the communication has been solely through emails but I might do a postal correspondence soon;

I did a bit of research after burning the fingers and it looks like there are lot of horror stories of similiar nature to other folks who parted with their hard earned cash same way! :(

Will post subsequent updates as they happen.

    Cheers.
  • I've had the same experience with this store and have posted my feedback as reviews on trustpilot and reviewcentre.

Looks like several other people have had similar experiences.

I managed to reclaim costs via my credit card company 'chargeback' scheme. Failing that, I would have followed the 'Section 75' claim procedure, and then legal action as necessary.

Will not be using this company again and would strongly advise others not to !

I wish I had seen this thread before I had the misfortune of dealing with them. Absolutely shocking, no delivery, no money back as yet.
And to top it all, they complained to reviewcentre.com about the bad review I left there for them (Galaxy Stores). I've really heard it all now. However, to sum it up, take your money elsewhere, don't waste cash and time on them
  • I too, have fallen foul of Galaxy Stores. After 6 broken promises of delivery they finally delivered me a bed, except it was not as described on the website. The bed arrived fabric when I had specifically ordered faux leather. They admitted the mistake and spent weeks trying to convince me to take various unsuitable replacements until they finally gave up and ignored me. I asked for a refund 8 times in total. I raised a dispute with Paypal however as I was unwilling to pay the huge delivery costs to return the bed (3 huge boxes), Paypal weren't interested. I'm also very disappointed with Paypal in this matter! They did not protect the buyer at all.

I still have the bed in my garage....!
  • I'm another very unhappy customer of galaxy stores! My story is almost exactly the same as others. Ordered a bed which arrived but no mattress. Contacted galaxy to find out where it was and received another delivery date. Again nothing arrived. A new date was given and again nothing arrived. Finally they admitted it wouldn't be in stock for a long time and offered replacements. Nothing was suitable so I asked for a refund. An email arrived to say I had been refunded but nothing appeared in my paypal account? I continually emailed to which they never replied. Finally after 3 months of nothing I emailed to advise I'd contacted trading standards and the very next day my paypal account was refunded. I recommend anyone struggling to receive a refund to use trading standards as I am not the only one to have success with this method. Good luck to the many people awaiting their money back and to those that have not yet used galaxy - DON'T!!!

Oh dear. I've just placed an order with these people. Confirmation of order but no news on shipping after 6 days.
  • Stay away - Won't deliver, total scammers - They have had my money for over 2 months and no refund - Please don't buy anything from them, they shouldn't be allowed to trade
  • Paid for goods in August 2014, never received them and have been fobbed of by them ever since. Told them I would take them to court if they didn't refund me, they replied by saying the goods were on their way. This is the only way these people understand, sadly...
