DPD - parcel signed for using my name, but not me!

DPD are by far the best of the delivery companies. I can't see them going to another address three minutes away as they are on a planned route. They text you to say when they are coming and you should have made appropriate arrangements.Je suis sabot...0

The note was on the outside of your door?
As the ops not responded, if the note was on the outside of their door, someone could have removed it, hung around then just stood by the door saying, " you've got my parcel?". Couriers usually say to me " mrs hollydays" , so you've already been given the name.
Even if it wasn't outside the door the persons possibly hung around and said-I've just managed to pop back from work0 -
The contract is to deliver to the person named,
Until this has happened then the contract is not fulfilled.
If some has duped the parcel company, then they are the victim of the fraud not the OP.Be happy...;)0 -

Irrespective, I'd consider the address to mean inside the front door, not outside it.
Ever been asked for ID before signing for something?
I agree, however you should see the hump people take whn you ask them to open the door when they are outside0 -
I've worked for a courier, and sure as hell wouldn't be driving a mile to somewhere else to drop a parcel off.
Routes are often pre-planned, so why would you expect them to drive out of their plan to drop your parcel off?
It's not their fault you took a new job, a quick email to Toys R Us advising you won't be home and to drop to an alternative address would have done the trick.0
