DPD - parcel signed for using my name, but not me!

Well, my new shiny PS4 was apparently signed for by someone with my surname (slightly misspelt) this morning.
I'd ordered it from ToysRUs back in June.
As I was going to be out at work I left a large note on my front door asking if they could deliver to my work address (about 3 mins away).
I was surprised to see it had already been delivered and signed for by 'me' at around 10am this morning, when I was at work.
What are my rights here? I'm assuming I hassle ToysRUs to give a refund or send out another? Annoyingly neither DPD nor ToysRUs can be contacted by phone.
Pretty angry that DPD just handed it over to some random neighbour (there are 19 flats in 2 buildings in my postcode, mine is the only one with its own front door. I don't know most of the neighbours, though one I do know saw the DPD guy with a parcel walking around the building but after that who knows where it went). Or maybe the driver kept it. Who knows..
No card was left or anything at my address, just the online status of it being delivered and signed for by 'me'!
Cheers...

Report it to them as non delivery, contract not fulfilled.Be happy...;)0

Pretty good alibi for not having signed it-being at work.0

Cheers. Yup, and we have to clock in and out at work so there's a log of me being in at that time.
I've emailed both DPD and ToysRUs so we'll see, but that's my weekend of 'next gen' gaming action down the pan...0 -
did you not get the delivery options prior to delivery? (notes for 'just three miles away' won't work with couriers - especially DPD who make the driver delivery schedule so much tighter than most couriers.
DPD also GPS track the courier, so if he was seen at the building its going to be important you have proof you were at work...0 -
There was no option to change the address (greyed out on ToysRUs website). At the time I ordered it I worked from home, only very recently have I taken a contract that means I'm working in an office in town.
It's a mile away, and notes like that have worked in the past (with City Link). It's worth a try...
Still don't believe that they didn't even bother to deliver to my address - maybe he couldn't find my front door (it happens) and just gave it to a random and forged my name on the signature. Still, the random should have knocked on my door by now!0 -
Im pretty certain delivery companies won't read a note on a door and then deliver to an alternative address! It's a bit ridiculous!
I would suggest someone has pinched it due to seeing the note on your door and just hanging around. It's pretty obvious what sort of parcel you are waiting for on PS4 release date!
You'll obviously get a refund but I can't help but feel you have not covered yourself in glory with this! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

The note was on the outside of your door?0

Anyway we're getting sidetracked. I just wanted to know who to hassle.
And why would a delivery driver just give it to someone who was hanging around. Surely he'd knock on the door first, not just hand it over to a random person.0 -

Nobody was in so why would knocking on the door help? I would assume someone approached him and pretended to be you.
