If it helps the OP..... I have a couple of credit union accounts where I pay money in each month. These accounts are strictly out of bounds for withdrawing. Useful for holiday funds or something.
They have no online facilities so it makes it easier to not pinch a couple of quid from it to treat myself. Only way to withdraw is an inconvenient few mile drive to queue at their office amongst the unsightly members of society attempting to obtain a £50 loan to pay their Bright House bill.
Plus the few grand I have in the credit union is helping people less fortunate than myself. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Care to elaborate....? Trusting a mate with a second mobile contract and getting stitched up isn't in the same league as having 18 different current accounts then claiming that staff accused him or terrorism!0 -

I'm afraid what you have done is by some leagues more stupid than not understanding the possible effects of anti money laundering regulations0 -

We use the Microsoft Money Programme on the PC, which means we can keep down the actual accounts held, but look at what we have, do projections etc., and plan things. It appears you can still download it, although we use our old disc on all the new PC's we buy.
If you must keep money indoors, and we always keep a float of a few hundred, fir emergencies, then buy a decent home safe and make sure it's properly fixed to the wall or floor.
Quite honestly, I'm not surprised the bank called a halt to things....
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0
