  • Thank you Molly, floss, Donny-gal, snoozer, Judy, NAR for all the nice comments about Daisy :)

I seem to have one issue or another with BF with all 3 children. DD I ran out about 2,5 weeks and she was severely dehydrated and very ill before anyone realised. Everyone said it was just a 'growth spurt' so ignored the signs of her being lathargic, with no wet nappies and a dipped fontinelle. With DS my milk ran dry, but after a traumatic event at 3,5 weeks :/

So I can only report a very happy healthy baby today, who is very much enjoying formula already :)

As floss said the first 2 weeks are the most important, and she got that, just like the other two! And they're both healthy children :)

Fingers crossed for weigh-in tomorrow x

RosyRed I hope you DGS gets better and comes home very soon x

  • Good evening chums, nice afternoon at History(all about the Battle of Vimy Ridge)The picked up DGS Mikey and his pal and took them to see Rainham Lights being switched on.The boys loved it as Heart FM radio were there and they had a stage with dancers and lots of freebies being handed out for the children I sat in the cafe nearby and had a warm & a cuppa as it was a bit too cold for me to stand for any length of time.
Managed to catch up on the washing and ironing this morning, and its even all put away as well.Serious wrapping being done tonight whilst the soaps are on.Sheps Pie from the freezer for dinner with mixed veg also from the freezer,no standing over a hot stove for me it will be 'nuked' in the microwave :):)
W.I Christmas Fair tomorrow morning I always enjoy it as I get lots of nice HM extras for Christmas

    Evening all,

Had a busy day rushing around and picked up DGS and DD from school, in between food shopping. It's finally all away, tea cooked and I'm finally sat down in a chair phew:eek:
JulieG my son and his wife are having exactly the same problem with their little girl Amelia, no problems with feeding she is just not gaining enough weight, although she was 9lb 10 oz at birth.
Rosyred hope DGS is better soon, I had mastitis with my little girl, 27yrs ago, it was awful, hope they are better soon.

    Sorry if I've missed anyone

It's my middle sons birthday today, he is 24, I don't know where the time has gone. He is off out with friends tonight so will come for lunch on Sunday, roast pork with all the trimmings and his favourite hm chocolate fudge cake, we shall celebrate his birthday then.
Oscar is running around at the moment pretending he is a super hero with scream power, roll on bed time!
The hospital rang today, they may be doing an extra days operating before Christmas so I may be in the list, I shall not hold my breath.
I've also got a scan on the other leg on 15th December.
Ds3 is being a pain in the bum, just not showing any initiative, generally lounging around so he's had a telling off:mad:
I'm tired tonight it's been a long week, dh and I are hoping to snuggle up with a bottle of wine tonight,
    Have a relaxing evening x

  • Julie it's a worry, and that's not good for anyone :(

I hope you granddaughter picks up, because when they are this small you don't enjoy them as much if your worring or stressed.

I know I'm enjoying Daisy more, now she's feeding well. But until she starts gaining weight (as opposed to loosing) I won't fully enjoy her.

But on the plus side, DD1 got to meet Derek Moran from Channel 5s Milkshake turning on the Christmas lights and got a photo with him, he called Daisy a Mini milkshaker and I was over the moon! DD1 watches only 1hr of TV a day and it's Milkshake :)
