    Morning All,

Icey - Mr T's system seems to be easy to hack, I have heard of so many stories like your own over the last number of months. Doesn't give you much confidence about the safety of the personal details they hold on us!
NMLC - hope DS feels better soon after accident.
JulieG - Babies can be so worrying at times. I'm sure she will put weight on soon.

DGS still has bad cough so we are looking after him again today (parents working). DD said nursery has a number of little ones off with the same problem.

Applied for my Smartpass yesterday, so I will get free bus and train journeys. OH will probably want me to do one way journeys! ;)

All of my finances have now been dealt with. Need to get some Euros over the next week, as we are going to a family wedding in Dublin next week. Bank of Dad will be seeing a few withdrawals, but I don't mind spoiling them every now and again.

Will draw up Christmas present list this afternoon to see who and what we haven't bought yet - not too much I hope.

Have a good day everyone

rather that than a long walk off a short pier.;)

Glad you've got your finances sorted. Now you can get on with enjoying yourself.:T

Sidny was a Miniature Schnauzer. Just a mo, I think I have a pic somewhere....

Sidny is a real cutie, LW. He's got a real sparkle in his eye, hasn't he? Thanks for digging out the pic.

I'm getting down my list but have had to cancel the hospital appt - I'm too tired and wound up in my own problems to deal with a group situation. Have emailed the clinician and accept the lost session and go to the next one in December.

So: I've dropped off M's letter and spoken to the GP who happened to be there. I've visited M&D and looked after my plants. Have to go back before it gets dark to put them back to bed. There's stock in the slow cooker and bread in the machine. Lunch is cooking. The DW is on and the laundry's up to date. And I spent a lovely half hour or so tidying and filling the freezers. I've also started reorganising my recipe folder as an easy, do a bit and leave it job.

This afternoon I'm going to try and relax a bit with TV and knitting and then get an early night after dinner to snuggle with the boys and a good book.

    Hi everyone,

There seem to be a lot of health issues floating round at the moment, so best wishes to Molly, nmlc's son, NJL, redruby, Judi, jacksmummy, TTFTM and LW - and to anyone else I might have missed.

JulieG, hopefully things will go well from now on, but I second Molly in keeping offering the breast.

Tru, sorry to hear about Timmy.

Icey, there are some horrible people about!

Saw mum yesterday, I had some questions about her medication, because they have put her back on something we were told wasn't working. The very nice nurse said she'd get the dr to do a review but now mum's being told they are sending her home (without the promised social services assessment). Do not get sick if your local hospital is Preston Royal!

We've got friends arriving for the weekend so I shall make chicken, chorizo, mushroom and potato bake tonight. It's an easy one pot so I won't be slaving in the kitchen all evening.

I need to go and make up their bed, the rest of the house is pretty good.

....DH keeps leaving the door of the short freezer open and that is not going to change.
If it is a big door, he should notice it didn't close properly sooner - maybe I'll get an extra locking device as well. If he leaves the fridge open it won't be so bad....

When it arrives, see if you can have the front feet slightly higher than the back ones, so the door swings back & shuts ;) Ask me how I learnt that one when I still had 2 teenage boys in the house!
    Morning,

Daisy lost weight again at her midwife check :(

After seeing BF support councilor and being told by her and the Midwives and the HV that every sign of problems they look for are not there, there is absolutely nothing that can be done, no one can work out why she's not gaining. So as of yesterday afternoon she's on formula...

The first couple of weeks are the most important ones JG, she'll have gained all the protection from you in that time that you have been feeding her yourself.

Well, I've got a lot of cleaning-up to do at home...we've got a party wall between the 2 houses we own and after taking out enough to put in the lintels yesterday, the builders are taking all the bricks out today so they will be connected :) Most people have an extension built for them but we bought a ready-to-move-in one! Next important job is sorting out an extended waste hose for the washer which is now in its new home, rather than the outhouse, and needs to be working tonight as Mount Washmore is building to ridiculous heights. I have the pipe & connections, just need to get home & fit it :)

I managed to get a good deal on some fizz for Christmas yesterday from Martins weekly email - Tesco have 25% off wines, plus some are half price, so 6 bottles of Heidsieck blue label champagne thats normally £29.99 each worked out as actually costing £10.33 each, half price then with 25% off for buying 6 (but turned out to be £27.99 off not £22.50) so the total charged was £61.95 - buy 2 and get 4 free. Thanks Martin!

Was going to try to get to town to buy some yellow wool for the Minion Hats, failed! Never mind still one baby coat to finish and another to start.
One load of washing on the line as it is blowing well here. Skye walked around the field.
JulieGeorgina - I know how you feel, I had the same problem with DS. HV bringing scales to the house to weigh him. He was too lazy to suck, in the end ended up on bottle and laid flat and poured in. I was kept in hospital a week (28 years ago) and was not let out unless he was settled either on bottle or breast. One comment from a friendly midwife after trying to feed him some expressed milk, was he disliked breast slightly less than he disliked formula. He went on formula, and at 5 weeks had to start him on Granulated Rusk, advised to do so via the older HV, this would be a complete no no today, he loved it, went onto 3 meals a day. Slept through the night ;);) and by 3 months ended up starting him on the Vanilla flavoured milk, again being advised to try it, though he never took more than 4 oz.
I had a very healthy child, full of life, rarely catching anything going, who slept well. While not the prescribed method for him it worked.
Tru sorry to hear about Timmy.
Molly You know we are all here if you need an ear. Fingers crossed for DS coming home.
Well late problems by the school near Newbury where our New Year Rally was to be held. Marshalls managed to find a new one at Maidenhead, so we are off there for the 28th. :T:T:beer:
NJL Hope you feel less tired soon
Judi Not sure exactly what's up but have a dodgy hug anyway :grouphug:
Icey hope T8sco sort you out. I have just spend most of our points on a voucher towards our next Tunnel crossing in January.
LW Sidney looked a real cutie. Skye sends you a big lick to keep you going until Amber gets there.
    HH Don't work too hard.
((hugs)), spoons, positive vibes all round.
    Take care everyone. DG

Amber's here.:T As her name implies, she's a very pretty golden colour; she's a cocker spaniel (hope the smut filter doesn't kick in there):D and she's an absolute sweetie.

Bit of a shock though - they're sent raw mince for me to cook for her dinners. I don't have a scooby how to cook mince. Luckily, Mr LW knows how to do it, so he's got the job!:rotfl:

    Hi all,
Another who's been absent for a bit,we had a traumatic few days as our new baby Grandson had to go into hospital with an infection and was put on the childrens ward at 3 days old so its been a bit stressful.DS2 and DiL2b stayed with him,and were sharing a single bed so they've not had a lot of rest and now they think she's got mastitis. She's shivering away in bed,but the nurses told her to contact her own midwife as they cant treat her and no doctors available  Anyway she's rung the Maternity ward where she was with Freddie and they've told her to pop in there, same hospital. The good thing is the infection level has gone down in baby now and he might be going home later.

We've been picking up DGD when its DS2s time to have her & either bobbing her over to see him,but last night he came away from hospital for an hour-she was so excited to see him bless her,and very concerned about 'baby brother'.

While I was at the hospital visiting yesterday ,the estate agent rang to say we had a viewer this afternoon, the last thing we needed really but seeing as its the 1st we've had in 7 months apart from the open viewing I couldnt really refuse,so as soon as DGD went back we started tidying and cleaning-fortunately it wasnt too bad, carried on this morning and as a finishing touch put the Christmas tree up :rotfl:and lit the log burner :D so it looked very nice and cosy on a wet dismal and blustery day.

Got a beef stew in the sc,but DH rang earlier and we've been asked up to our friends for a meal so it'll do tomorrow.

Ok well wishes to the poorlies,
    tru so sorry about Timmy,
LW,good job you have Mr LW to cook the mince
    xx

Another jolly week at work finished, I have to take DGD to gym club tonight & tomorrow DGS is visiting for a couple of hours, his first time on his own, I'm really looking forward to it, it's his b'day in December I've got him Booms, bangs & fizzes.
I'm being lazy tonight, hubby is treating us to fish & chips, I'm finding I'm worn out by the end of the week so this means & don't have to cook.
    Have a good evening all.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
