Molly - all I can offer you is virtual friendship, love and hugs and the support that a thread like this gives. It's not enough with the time you have had of it lately but you know we will all be here for you when you need us. I think I have told you before that I have never actually met another person who has the same genetic condition as me, I joined an online group but did not find it helpful but this thread really makes a difference to me when I have bad days/weeks. I hope we can do that for you x

All of your thoughts and hugs and love make all the difference in the world to me - Thankyou xx

Tru - sorry to hear about Timmy. We have lost four pets this year - our two piggies and my boy doggy and my parents doggy. They are our family and my heart goes out to you. I might be inheriting a very naughty rabbit - but am dreading it as I will only get attached again. It is my eldest son's and I hope (please please God) that he is coming home this afternoon x

Julie - hope baby starts to put on weight soon. I would still offer the breast though.

NMLC - so glad your son is relatively unharmed.

Feeling a bit brighter today - DD came back from uni for a few days and my second son is an absolute love to me. Feeling fragile but ok xx

Tru (((HUGS))) Sleep well, little Timmy.
Sidny sounds a real character, LW. Was he by any chance black and white? For some reason his story reminds me of a foster-cat I had about eight years ago. Patch was black and white, only one tooth, rivers of snot from (we think) a car accident fracture not properly set. Every night I had to mix his medicine into Dairylea cheese and smear it onto his fur so he'd lick it off. That was the only way I could get him to take it without distress and he used to look at me like: 'Oh, Lordy, here she comes again ...' but never ran away.
Awww, Patch sounds fantastic. Sidny was a Miniature Schnauzer. Just a mo, I think I have a pic somewhere....

Nmlc GWS wishes for DS - thank the gods he wasn't too badly hurt.

Molly come-home-to-stay vibes for DS1 - and his rabbit.

  • Morning everyone :)

Not much OS today. Meeting a friend for a dog walk but later so that will take up most of my day :o kids have swimming after school and then this eve it's the switch on of the town Christmas lights. I fancied going along with the kiddies so hubby has promised to get home prompt tonight.

Gonna rush round and vac and hang washing before I go out so at least I feel slightly less guilty :o

Hugs and spoons all round xx

    Molly hugs for you xx

Tru RIP Timmy :( hugs for you xxx sounds like he had a very loving and peaceful end xx

Nmlc good job DS was hurt more seriously x

    Good morning,
oh dear, some of you are going through the mill, so I'm sending you my thoughts.

Today I am marking the last of 'my' batch while the extras make their way towards me, the rest will arrive tomorrow or Monday.

I have just invested some of my earnings in an upright freezer from John Lewis's offers and I'm now looking for a small fridge. We have a fridge/freezer and a small freezer next to it, but DH keeps leaving the door of the short freezer open and that is not going to change.
If it is a big door, he should notice it didn't close properly sooner - maybe I'll get an extra locking device as well. If he leaves the fridge open it won't be so bad. I'll keep the current ones for when DD moves & if they don't suit her then I'll Freecycle them.

Marking beckons, take care and have the best day you can x
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Morning all,

Icey ive been recently ripped off to the tune of £50 so I share your pain. Luckily ive got a big fat -£50 in my paypal account rather than my bank account. It'll get paid off eventually. Probably sooner rather than later if they charge me interest.

nmlc sorry to hear of your sons accident. He must ache a lot today poor lad. Hope he feels better soon.

Tru, sorry to hear about Timmy. So sad when our family pets die. I cry buckets I always do. I cant imagine losing the 'Girls'. Notjustlaura, Timmy I am pretty certain is a guinea pig for your information.

JulieGeorgiana don't feel too sad about putting Daisy on formula. At least you tried.

I'd like to say i'm fine but ive got more aches and pains that I know what to do with. Knees, wrists, elbows.... in fact everything that bends has been hurting the last few days.

Hubby is knackered, out of the house 15 hours a day with work and travelling to and from.

My family seems to be falling apart at the moment. I could quite easily walk away from the lot of them.

Anyway, apart from that i'm fine, struggling to cope but i'm fine.:)

    Have a good day all,

Tru - So sorry to hear about Timmy x

I'm not feeling so good myself today, last year I got diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, think it is rearing its ugly head again as I've been in abit of discomfort since yesterday, thankfully I'm waiting for an appointment for a check up scan so hopefully that will come through soon.

Anyway, not much os going on here today, all housework is done, WM has just finished so I'm going to get my crochet books out and make a start on another blanket.

Veg curry & egg fried rice for tea tonight

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

Sending (((hugs))) for those of you that need/want them. It seems a lot of you are having not such a good time of it at the moment.

DH had a lovely birthday yesterday and tonight we are going out for a meal. He thinks it is just him, me, DS2 and my dad but DS1 and DD are coming home with their partners and will hopefully be at the restaurant before us to surprise him. Fingers crossed he doesn't realise something is afoot.

I can't believe it's only a few weeks to Xmas, I shall start thinking about it properly next week.

Have a good day all :)
