    Evening all!
Christmas lunch today, I budgeted £20 for drinks and only spent £15 so £5 in the pot! Not put any notes in before woohoo!
  • Thanks for my new number Sue.
I had my first road kill last week all 10p of it but yesterday I found another 50p. That's more than I found throughout the whole of last year.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FELLOW SEALED POTTERS.

  • Evening fellow potters, hope you are all having a good day. I haven't been out today so no shrapnel for me. Only 20p found in drawer gone in pot but it all helps. I would be disappointed if there was nothing to go in one day - its an illness - but a good one!!!
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Got my first £2 coin in my change since joining the challenge! So guess where it went? :D Yup straight in my pot :rotfl:

My OH thinks I have gone slightly "potty" (sorry for the pun)! But he won't complain when we open it next year!

Thank you sue-uu I really like that you take time to read all the posts and you congratulate everyone and you cheer us all on. Thank you for everything you do :)

Hi nikki and thank you so very much for your very kind words, but I promise you I really enjoy doing it. Bless you though. :kisses3:
Potted £50 into my pot. £30 of that is money saved on my travelcard for next week, only working 1 day and have enough money on my oyster card to cover the travel cost. £20 of that is money saved on not going to the Christmas work do yesterday with the staff where I am temping. In the middle of no where, not near a tube station and had to rely on people giving me a lift to the station. If I wanted to leave early probably had to take a cab.

Some really excellent savings there, Kerry! I was going to say what a shame you couldn't have gone to the works do, but it seems it might have been just as well...and you saved from it in more ways than one! Very well done and these things are usually sent for a good reason as we both know. ;)

I should think you would be pleased with your progress so far, 32b3, you've had a pretty good run. Stay focused. :D

I had to check that a hubby rummage with my new number was as lucrative as my old number and am pleased to say it was... icon10.gif Handful of coinage potted this evening into luvly new pot.

    xx

There you go, ToniLiz, I reckon I had a premonition that a new one might give you even greater prospects of hubby rummaging. So, with that in mind - keep up the good work! :rotfl:

oooh you brave girl, helencal, you definitely deserved some pleasure after that.

Oh Maisie, I love the "then DH was told to raid his wallet" bit, you'll go far and save well. :rotfl:

Well done, Pickle, you did well.
Thanks for my new number Sue.

You've become the victim of addiction, AlwaysHappy, but what an addiction eh! :j Of course NSD are good as well and I have 6 of them little devils! :(:D

You are so right with your 2nd line, Eyebright, mine thought the same the first year I did it, but was thrilled to bits with the outcome!!! :j We know what's best for them. ;)

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers now as they're all done and simply need swapping over. You'll see that there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. forums.moneysavingexpert.comPlease change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.

Good night, everyone, sleep well and have a good day tomorrow, and stay warm.

You HAVE to be joking, jakes-mum!! I searched high and low on SPC 6 to try to find that this morning! I wouldn't have dreamed of looking on your siggy. Please next time you could make it much easier for me by just stating the amount! Anyway, it's on now.

In my defence I thought it would be the first place you would look as I have had my targets on there since I joined :rotfl: (is it really terrible that I started to giggle uncontrollably at your angry face? :rotfl::rotfl:)

A lovely £2 coin in the tin today and DH dragged me to Mr T tonight as kids had a karate party to attend round the corner, was really moaning about going but picked up a jigsaw which was marked at £2, it went through the till at £5 so customer services paid me a £1 to take it away :j :j love love love double the difference :T:T so £1 freebie money in the pot as well and a free jigsaw in the prezzie box :D
