Hi ladsmadd, it's great to see you popping in, and what a weight for your pot already!!! :j That post office is so mean! Though when you say "they stopped giving us change" how exactly do you??
Sue-uu, My nearest bank to work is a 20 min bus ride away, so have always gone to post office over the road for change when needed maybe once a month. They changed hands over the past year, & the new owners say that since we don't bank with them they can no longer offer us change when needed. So now I just use change from pot to keep till in change.
I do love it when someone comes in with bags of change the bank will not take in one go asking if I can swap for notes if not to much trouble :j
Have potted £4 in £2 coin pot and 75p in small change pot this weekend.# 017 -Sealed Pot Challenge 8

Hi All
I haven't been on for ages and don't think I'll be able to catch up with all the posts I've missed so I hope everyone's well, or on the road to recovery!
Things have been a little hectic here with exams etc etc etc and I've had to borrow from my christmas pot for 2 emergencies. I have started potting for christmas again this morning and have put 3 x £2 coins in there.
No idea how much is in the holiday pot as I refuse to touch that one!
I'll try and pop on weekly now to keep me inspired!

Hey there,
First time on here. Could I join please.
Have actually been doing this with the other half since Christmas 2013. Not a clue how much is in our pot at the moment as we both just drop £1 or so in whenever we have it in our wallet/purse. Will certainly be interesting to see how much we have come Novemeber.
Cheers,

Had our 2nd baby -a boy called sam in mid april, he was 5 weeks early! Spe t 2.5 weeks in hospital waiting for him to learn to eat....oh raided the pot to pay for parking while visiting, so it was nearly empty till I found an old purse with £6+ insideso it is partially refilled again now
Congratulations. and I'm glad he's OK and home now :jMorning everyone
What a night!
We had pizza and beer to watch the Eurovision Song Contest ( I know!) and my brother wanted to pay half towards the beer ( I was feeling generous and said no, so he said put it in your pot!) I have never put that much in before and was really hesitant, so he put it in! I screamed out loud as he did it! Yohoo!
Forgot to mention it was £10!!!
Aww what a lovely brotherWell good news for me at last offered a new job which I start in June so potting will be a regular occurrence £3.00 potted in celebration

Potted about 50p yesterday after a trip down to Mums.
Sue I'm doing the yoga to ease my joints as all the walking is making me a bit stiff. I'm really enjoying it though, so I'll probably carry on after the marathon

Afternoon all.
ChevalierTialys - welcome to both MSE and this thread. Good luck with your savings.
Pickle29 - I like the voting, especially the political voting. But tame this year it seems?
At least that's what I've been told.
Potted £5.40 including 2 x £2 coins.

Thanks for the welcome from you both. Hopefully this will help give me the push to remember to put money into the pot. I actually have two pots on the go. One for me and the other half which gets 50p, £1 and £2 coins. Also have one for the son who gets all the shrapnel. Not that he needs it seeing as the family spoils him rotten.:DBarclay Card - £3,095.52/£3,200.00 (3%) Santander Loan - £9,944.45/£10,113.00 (2%)
