Thank you Rosy. I will try it tomorrow since i won't see him today. Do you think it will taste ok with the chocolate frosting? I've just realised how much i actually have to do.... oh dear.

I have 2 x £2 coins to add to the pot when i get home.

This time next week I will have completed my charity run. On Thursday night I ran 5k for the first time so I am a week ahead on the training. I went running again this morning and I did the 5k in 1 minute 6 seconds less than I did it on Thursday :D

You're doing marvellously, 32b3!! All the best for the actual day and very well done with the charity! :j

It's so good to hear you're gaining in energy, Nell, keep it up and lets hope you have a lovely summer to help you.

I hope things aren't too bad for you, Lynne, though I know you're going to need to be frugal. All best wishes to you both. :)

I've transferred my savings pot to an online account and set up a direct debit for £25/month but it's not fun when you can't shake a tin full of coins...so I found some plastic box and will be potting spare change when I can. It's addictive :)

I'm pleased to know the need to shakes got the better of you, blue_mango....keep filling it up so the shake is a better one each time! :D

It's great to see you drop in, Eyebright, just now and again will keep us happy.

between a crazy work schedule, an unexpected rejected lamb (our first and only this season I hope) and general exhaustion I haven't spent any money; so unfortunately nothing potted. Looking forward to shopping tomorrow.

So does your OH have a far/smallholding, Hicks? I really hope all the little ones pull through. Our neighbour has several as a sideline and most of the lambs are at the bottom of our garden. They bleat a bit but it's a super time.

We sold our tumble dryer, it was expensive to run and unused, £60... I potted £20 and the rest is for spends during our week off work this week

Very wise, Chi-me, that's the only problem with them...they cost an absolute fortune to run! Very well done with the saving too.

All the best in keeping your money in you pot, Brightspark, try pretending you haven't anything saved...if that's possible. ;)

Oooooh, all of £20 this week A lovely lot. :D

You can tell we're getting to the half way mark as everyone's saving as much as is possible. Keep filling those pots, folks!

Have a good Friday, everyone, and look ahead to a really lovely weekend.

£5 in today! I was sorting out my purse and I as I haven't potted much recently I saw it and potted it before I could change my mind! I feel very reckless making a spontaneous decision but also excited that it's a £5!:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi all, hope your all ok and potting when you can. Works been mad so not posted since 1 Feb. Have been saving anything under a £1 in bottle, that I can opened and used as change for works till [ as do not bank with local post office they stopped giving us change, not sure how much is I there. As I save £2 coins in pot on own were possible I swap the change jar for any £2 coins at work which mean my sealed tin weighs in at 6 lb.
