Of course you can join us, braddy970 and freedomsinsight. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
braddy970 - you've been saving in a great way since Christmas!! :jjakes-mum wrote:Haha, yep, I really am that tight, though I was actually wondering if it could still be classed as bread and butter pudding if it doesn't have sultanas in (my dad says no btw :rotfl:)[/quote
You can make it that way, jakes-mum, but then it's simply called Bread Pudding. Have a look on !oogle. No doubt they've even taken folk like you in mind and have Nothing Puddings.......made without the bread! :rotfl: At least you're trying (bally trying) and there's a lot to be said for that.Keep it up. BTW, keep on track!
What d'you reckon this is called "Delia's thread"?!
We've missed you, mommyof4, but at least you've still been saving.rosyq wrote:My mum makes a looovely bread & butter pud with marmale spread on the bread too?
Oh yes, Rosy, that really appeals to me, thank you. :j
You're up and running then, GettingOrganised, well done.
There's nothing wrong with withdrawing cash so you can save it, bellevie, a lot of SPCers have to do it that way as they don't get any cash either.
Crikey, Delilahh, most folk have woodworm in their houses you've a no-stop supply of hidden cash!
*Rolls eyes* You've too much bloomin clutter on your siggy, mumof3plusoh! The old Nos mean nowt to anyone else any more so it'll make a difference if you take them off.
You mind you don't do this :wall: with always looking down for money, AlwaysHappy! Good to hear you're feeling better.
A good start, brettcta, stay at it. :j Add this one to your siggy grammar list "she could have, not could of"
Moi STILL thinking of that duvet set, claireyfairy?? Never I tell you, never! How the devil could any of us forget!!
Every penny does indeed count, Madrabbitgirl, you'll find that much out in November.
You're ALL doing just marvellously, everyone!! Keep up this amazing work and you're all going to be so happy this coming Christmas!!Keep safe and well, all potters, and keep up the saving!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
Sue x

21p in my pot today. Niece and nephew have been potting a few coins in the pots I got them for Christmas. Nephew even voluntarily (no convincing needed) potted £30 that he had been given as a Christmas present. They are planning to smash open their pots when I do mine at end of the year. They were very excited about my pot last year - so do hope that they get the saving message through all this funSPC No:118:j (6) £468.74 (7)

Thats my DH's favourite cake! I only make it for special occasions (well I dont want him to [STRIKE]take it for granted[/STRIKE] get bored of it do I
) I always make a victoria sponge mix
6 oz Caster Sugar
6 oz Real Butter
6 oz Self Raising Flour
3 Eggs
and then I go to town with the coffee! 3 heaped teaspoons full with a little bit of hot water to make it runny, chuck 4tsps at least in the mixture, then I make a butter cream icing to go in the middle and over the top which I also chuck 2tsps of coffee mixture in.
He doesnt like walnuts so I dont put those in
To this day, he hides them so he hasnt got to share them with Miss Lily :rotfl: I swear, once he hid in the downstairs loo just so he could eat a slice without her knowing  :rotfl:
Thank you so so muchI will be trying that out ASAP! I didn't realise it would be quite so easy lol
BTW, keep on track! What d'you reckon this is called "Delia's thread"?!
Sorry Sue, that was my fault, i'll take her slap on the wrist *holds arm out*
Hello to braddy970 and freedomsinsight
Popped in £4.99 left over pennies and some other random change.
I'm trying to have a fairly lean week this week.
Also, work have been talking about making me permanent "when the time is right"..... About blooming time, I've only been there 5 years!! We'll see when it happens, IF it happens...
On a sad note though, my rice has gone back up to £1.65It's still worth it though. Just means less for my pot.

Evening all, and a couple of more new potters - good luck with your savings.
I potted today, 2 x £2, 2 x 50p and 2 x 20p coins = £5.40 and that £200 is in sight now - hopefully by the weekend.
**** AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH moment today - bought a pack of 4 bread buns from a craft bakery (not asking the price) and it came to £1.60!! Asking how much they were and was told 50p each or 4 for £1.60!!
Nice though.

Hello
I went in Boots today to get lunch and they didn't have any £10 notes. I paid with £20 and they gave me £10.51 in change and a £5 note.
I have therefore potted £10.51 today.
