    Good afternoon potters.Potted £3 today.
I rang a number today, that Asda gives for reporting items missing from an order.I could not tell a word that the Asian lady, who answered was saying, so I ended up putting the phone down and sent an email instead to customer services.

Well done with the cash, Ruth, but surely you're not having rice alone are you???!

Well the rice is flavoured but i don't actually have anything with it. Sometimes i'll have brown rice and a little turkey/chicken but i am loving these flavoured rices at the moment :D

Potted a few pennies last night and have some more to pot tonight :D yay

  • Happy belated birthday to Miss Lily. Jakes-mum the cake is fab.
I work in a primary school and the kids in our class are Minecraft mad.
Went to DD1 last parents evening (yr11). So proud of her and all her teachers are thrilled to bits with her too. If she carries on working hard fingers crossed for more fantastic GCSE results later in the year.
She brought home her exam piece that she did for her GCSE art exam last yr. I know I am bias but it's absolutely amazing. She did a painting of Michael Jackson with a huge afro when he was a young teenage boy. I am going to get it framed. Don't know how to post photos or I would put it on here.
On a potting note, another £1 for the pot.
Have a great day everyone. xxx

£10 left in my purse, but I'm potting £6 (with the other £4 going in my £2 jar)

I walked home again (and don't my legs know it?!) so that's £1.50 and I had a spare £1 left in my bus fare purse, so that's going in the pot too.

Finally I've got £2.08 left in my office tea fund, so that's going in as well...a grand total to the Sealed Pot of £10.58 :j

Wooohay moomin!!!! Marvellous saving and VERY well done on the walking!:j Don't worry you're legs will soon get used to it so long as you keep it up, have a shower/bath when you get home and massage them. Think of it year-long and what you'll achieve in so many ways in that time! yay.gif

Good luck with your Mum's cake, jakes-mum, you can do it!! :j

Aha, so you're a Chef then, glassy! I'm hoping a whole lot less cantankerous than the one we had at our hotel many years ago, bad tempered and ignorant come nowhere near how I'd describe him! I know they're continually under a lot of pressure, but he could have been a lot more civil. :( Have a lovely 2nd Anniversary next Tuesday! It was DH's and mine last Wednesday though that was our 42nd!! Good saving btw!

Had a £5 off Tesco shopping voucher.... So put the £5 in my bottle :)

I never thought to save all the money I save on buying things.... I literally never pay full price for anything because I'm a tight git lol - from now on its going in the bottle!

Brilliant work, minmac, you soon got to grips with how the thread works. Keep going and well done! :D

I'm fine thanks, Saver-upper, and thank you kindly for your lovely words. :)

Good work, AlwaysHappy, and delighted to know how happy you are with SPC, it liberates your cash too!

Oh, thank goodness you asked, Helen! I hadn't a clue either but didn't like to say so...there are probably quite a few of us the same - don't you think?! :o Good saving.

JUST one shiny £2 coin today is great, Happybeingme, you should be delighted with it.

Worked from home yesterday so a nsd. Today is my 'can I walk home again' challenge day. If I make it its £2 in the pot for the saved bus fair. If it helps I have come to work with my walking boots (my knees took a suffering last week) and a whole bag of determination. (please don't rain, please don't rain......)

Go Sams, go Sams, Go Sams!!!!! yay.gif The walking boots should help you, but if you're not used to walking then it'll take a while to be comfortable with it, but it's far better to do it than not, believe me! :D

I really do sympathise with you, little_sweetie, as I'd miss my DS like mad if he were away like that. :( It's maybe a little different for our men folk, but T would miss L a lot more than he's let on, in fact he's first to moan if we haven't seen him! He thinks I'M the softie! :rotfl:

I won't quote your post, nanto3girls, as it won't be PC *rolls eyes*, but oh how I know what that's like!! ;)

Fair enough, Ruth, from the way you wrote it I didn't think you had much else, still, so long as you're healthy and have fruit etc.

Hi mumofplusoh, well done your DD!! Have a look on how to put photos on on the 1st post of page 1, jammy dodger gives all the gen there. I for one would love to see her work - please!

However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. forums.moneysavingexpert.com Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.

Sams can I suggest you wear trainers if your route home is mostly pavements? Much kinder to feet, knees and hips :)
