    Morning all.

loopychriss and katmum - welcome to the thread and good luck.
Lots of newbies (sorry if I missed anyone, this thread is moving fast!!).

Good luck to all those quitting smoking also - lots of potential savings there.

From myself also, but I wasn't going to stay awake until 2am to say that. lol

I potted 3 x £1 coins from last night. See what today brings.

    Have a great weekend all.

    Lynsey

I had to do some work last night for my course today - was running late due to DS staying here - and had to have a little 'wind-down' after all the concentration ;)

    Hi All,
Have fantastic news. I passed my university module that I remained studying throughout my chemo. So chuffed with myself, because the last one I wrote the assignment whilst laid up in bed struggling with chemo symptoms. So today I have huge grin on my face. Next module starts in February :)

I have potted some change today in my new sealed tin. Feeling excited at the new challenge, as the money for this one will be going towards a holiday booking at the end of next year. If that's not incentive to save, I don't know what is :)

CONGRATULATIONS    Very well done especially when persevering through illness. Bet you looking forward to a little break !

Usual £1 in the pot plus £1.19 in change from around house so today £2.19 potted.

:) Money tree about 2" tall now :rotfl:

Hope you all have a 'potty' Sunday and enjoy the sunshine

  • Well I've had a rubbish not very MSE day. My DD had a swimming gala today which left me running round like a crazy lady, no time to make lunch so I had to buy it:mad:. On the plus side she had a great race and took 1 second off her PB time.

    No potting action today.:(

I came on to say 20p into the holding pot last night and realised the challenge had started. Oops.

So I need to find a suitable pot and move the money from the holding pot. THEN go searching for money to put in.

Sorry I'm hogging the thread at the moment. I have just been on the old thread and it's amazing how much you have all saved.:T

I have also found an old ice cream tub with frozen mushrooms in the freezer so they are going to be rehoused and the tub is ting to be covered in Christmas paper to keep my mind on track and remind me not to break into it.:j

A pot with no money spent on it.:j

Hello everyone :D, I've posted my total on the other thread :A.
Things are starting to quieten down now. Nearly finished the DW's shop refurb, and no more events to prepare for, or to drive her to for this year :p. Just got to tidy and prepare our house for Christmas now :rotfl:. It's going to be a real 'tight one' too . It's okay though, I've got all the makings of Christmas dinner, and pudding :A. Plus a few little pressies.
Maybe I'll have time, to get on here a bit more now, and to catch up :j :D :j.

Hope you're all keeping well and happy potting .

6p in the pot this evening :D At least there's something in there now :)

I payed the SPC6 money into the bank today and was served by a man who didn't seem to mind having to sort so much money, was impressed I counted it all up correctly (apparently there's usually always a bag missing some coins!) and told me about his pot at home :)

Then I went wedding dress shopping! Wow, I had so much fun :D The first one I tried on might be "the dress"! It was sooo exciting and I'm buzzing :D I'm going back next Saturday to try it on again haha :D

Ah well done on finding a human banker, dinglefoot!! That was naughty really, but what can I say. It least he was the down to earth type.

oooooh how exciting that you may just have found THE DRESS! yay.gif Time will tell, but how exciting a time it all is! I'm deighted for you, dingle, enjoy it all to the full.

Hey Lynne, does your Money tree have an eventual height or does it just keep growing? I'm just [STRIKE]nosy[/STRIKE] curious.

Not such a good day then, claireyfairy, but at least your DD helped retrieve it, congratulations to her on that new PB!!!!! :T

Hi there, skilly!!!! :j It's soooo good to see you on 6 and now here! I remember your year being a heck of a one and oh, those greenhouses!! :( Maybe your youngsters saw it all as helping you over the passing of your Dad...though there are other ways I'm sure. All the best for a kinder 2014 for you, skilly, it'll be lovely to see you when you can make it, even if it is in the very early hours! Somethings never change eh. ;)

    Well spotted, shiningfaery!

It doesn't matter, parsniphead, there was never a deadline for folk to come on, we just always start the new one the day after the old one finishes. An ice cream tub will make a perfect pot, especially dressed up a bit, well done. :j

I don't blame you for not attempting to go through and reply to all, Rosy, it's mammoth!!! A good start to the day with the 1p, hope the rest is lovely too. :grinheart

That would be me with the wrongly counted bags:o In fact I had an absolute mare taking my bags of money into the bank. I had 3 bags that were short, then one bag got a split in it while in my handbag so I had to delve around scooping out pennies:mad:, and to top it off I then dropped 3 bags on the floor of the bank and they split everywhere :wall: The lady was so kind though and tried to reassure me that I wasn't a complete loser:A.

Sue UU - Yes I am a pretty busy lady lol. I am a full time student, parent governor at a high school and also volunteer one day a week in the learning support department at the same high school, on top of looking after the 4 kids, 2 dogs and lazy husband:cool:
However, I will try my best to get organised enough to take my own lunches/drinks to uni:money:. I spent nearly £6 last Thursday on a sandwich a packet of crisps and 2 drinks!!

Nothing potted today, yet. My husband did mention he had some change in his pocket so I will try to weedle some shrapnel out of him :rotfl:
