Thanks for that. Its a start!!!
I have already taken photos, I went to the site with the driver and took quite a few, but what also became apparent was the location, I'm not convinced the site mentioned on the ticket is in fact the correct one! Is there anywhere I could look to find out exactly what the location would be?0 -

I can tell you that parking prankster has similar cases in his blogs , probably a different site but was also highview too, they issued maps of the wrong car park to popla0 -
Which PPC is this?
Was there a windscreen ticket?
Have you checked also that their NTO arrived in time?
Did it even mention POFA or keeper liability? - If not is this CEL?
Also if you haven't done so already - complain to the landowner. This can be done in conjunction with a POPLA appeal the more complaints they receive, the more likelihood that the PPC's services will be dispensed with!
And FYI - nearly all the PPCs use mail drop postal addresses and go to great lengths to conceal trading addresses, directors id's and registered addresses. - So recorded or signed for as you've already discovered is a waste of time.0 -

The appeal rejection letter was unsigned. Is this legal?
The letter also cites me as responsible, "the ticket was issued to you"! I wasn't responsible, the ticket was issued to the car, driven by a third party!
The site has no visible signage at the entrance, and the signs that are dotted around the site are not immediately visible. Comments please. The site is unlit, ticket machine is not obvious from the parking bay used, and was obscured by the landscaped trees. Comments.
Minefield? A specially large and coloured link called 'How to win at POPLA' in the newbies thread?, which shows lots of suitable examples. The bits in bold about unclear signage are relevant but the example POPLA appeals will show you that is a normal appeal point anyway, along with other winners.
By the way I couldn't see who your PPC was, please tell us as it can make a difference. Sometimes no GPEOL is not relevent, depends on if they are alleging 'breach' as you would also hopefully have read, in the Newbies thread earlier on.
So, which PPC and did the signs or NTO allege breach of terms/conditions of parking?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good evening.
4Consumerrights:
Which PPC is this? SIP
Was there a windscreen ticket? Yes
Have you checked also that their NTO arrived in time? Yes
Did it even mention POFA or keeper liability? - If not is this CEL? POFA mentioned on the heading of the PCN just the words "The protection of Freedom Act 2012 s.56" with no other wording or reference to it. The NTO makes no reference to it whatsoever, nor does it mention liability. There is however a seperate blank form "Update Driver Details" upon which is printed
"Request to update driver details
Provided under the protection of freedoms act 2012 s56"
which I guess is a ruse to get me to divulge the name of the driver. There is no explanation as to what this is, the implications it has or what the act covers!
Coupon-Mad.
Minefield? To the layman skimming through page after page of information on this and other sites is a tad daunting. Indeed there is a section for POPLA appeals, and having read the walk through guide and asked a few questions this is becoming a little more clear.
The PPC in question is SIP.0 -

that is precisely the reason why coupon-mad has a sticky thread saying NEWBIES - READ THIS FIRST
it is designed with hyperlinks to prevent the lay person having to skim through pages and pages of threads , even the umkomaas walk through is linked from within her main page, as are popla appeals, popla successes , emails to important people , the list goes on
yet no newbie ever bothers to read it - sad innit ?0 -
It is sad, also sad that we have to put up with this nonsense from the evolved clampng cowboys!!!0

Just had email off POPLA re my appeal against SIP (Stop Illegal Parking)!!!
RESULT!!!!! SIP cannot provide proof of "genuine pre-estimate of loss".
Thanks to all those who helped point me in the right direction and I would recommend that if your going to cite the GPOL in your appeal that you quote the tariffs if possible, mine was £2.00 for 24 hours of parking which made the £100.00 charge ridiculous!0 -
Well done. Please post the POPLA wording (and assessor's name) in the POPLA Decisions thread.0
