well so has this one now seeing as its undelivered

the point is that they rarely sign for anything as they know why people are sending it as "signed for"

so as slithy-tove stated, you wasted your money and still havent got the soft appeal in, so 2 wrongs dont make a right

now I suggest you do exactly as slithy-tove stated in his reply, no fancy swerves or stepovers ;)
  • Hello there folks!

After my posting on here on Wednesday, guess what was waiting for me when I got home......yup, a nice unsigned letter saying the charges still stood, and asking me to forward my £100.00.

    What now?

Did they give you a POPLA code on their rejection letter?

    Dear bpa,

Today I received a rejection from one of your members (attached) which did not contain a POPLA code. I understand this is a breach of your terms and conditions and that as this regime has been in place for over a year there is no excuse for this. Please award the appropriate sanction points, and make sure the operator cancels the charge or issues me a POPLA code.

    Dear dvla,

Today I received a rejection from one of the BPA's members (attached) which did not contain a POPLA code. I understand this is a breach of their terms and conditions and that as this regime has been in place for over a year there is no excuse for this. Please monitor the BPA's response and if they do not award the appropriate sanction points, please consider whether they are a fit body to retain ATA status.

this is because they are not following the BPA guidelines on making the ref obvious

you are about the 10th person who has mentioned this recently on here, with various PPC`s
  • I have just been looking through the minefield of information and am trying to form the basis of an appeal to POPLA. There are a few areas that I am unsure of.
The appeal rejection letter was unsigned. Is this legal?
The letter also cites me as responsible, "the ticket was issued to you"! I wasn't responsible, the ticket was issued to the car, driven by a third party!
The site has no visible signage at the entrance, and the signs that are dotted around the site are not immediately visible. Comments please.
The site is unlit, ticket machine is not obvious from the parking bay used, and was obscured by the landscaped trees. Comments.

I have just been looking through the minefield of information and am trying to form the basis of an appeal to POPLA. There are a few areas that I am unsure of.

    1) The appeal rejection letter was unsigned. Is this legal?

    2) The letter also cites me as responsible, "the ticket was issued to you"! I wasn't responsible, the ticket was issued to the car, driven by a third party!

    3) The site has no visible signage at the entrance, and the signs that are dotted around the site are not immediately visible. Comments please.

    4) The site is unlit, ticket machine is not obvious from the parking bay used, and was obscured by the landscaped trees. Comments.

    1) this is popla we are talking about here, not a court , so try to concentrate on what wins at popla and not the legalities of signatures etc

    2) They tell lies, yeah , we know, just put that in your popla appeal that they have implied that the RK is the driver when in actual fact they arent

    3) mention signage etc and take photographs of them at a time when they are shown as they would have been on the day in question, so if at night, take some at night

    4) take photos to provide proof of this too

this is the type of popla appeal you will be drafting, but adapted to your circumstances https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816165
