NJL I'm so glad Sammy doesn't mind his treatment; reminds me of little Sidny; he had to have insulin injections twice daily, and Mr LW just used to say to him "come here, old chap, have your injeculation" (his dad's word, apparently) and Sidders would sigh resignedly, and come up to Mr LW to have it done.:o
Sidny sounds a real character, LW. Was he by any chance black and white? For some reason his story reminds me of a foster-cat I had about eight years ago. Patch was black and white, only one tooth, rivers of snot from (we think) a car accident fracture not properly set. Every night I had to mix his medicine into Dairylea cheese and smear it onto his fur so he'd lick it off. That was the only way I could get him to take it without distress and he used to look at me like: 'Oh, Lordy, here she comes again ...' but never ran away.
PS I found out that the Aldi voucher is in the Daily Record in Scotland and not the Mirror.Household: Laura + William-cat

Afternoon all
Gee whizz what a day, workmen have removed the ceiling in my room so I was homeless for the day too, my chest is feeling heavy so I think I've caught my colleagues bug.
I got a call to say there was a problem with a machine, by the time I got there some muppet had it in pieces, all it needed was refilling with paper, I asked twice that it be left alone as the engineer was on his way, the 3rd time I asked I shouted, sorry but as I was being ignored I thought I couldn't be heard so I raised my voice! I've emailed the finance manager as we will be charged for the engineers visit & I'm not getting a bo&&ocking over it.
Today I've shopped for our local Salvation Army hampers appeal, I try to donate every year, but it's getting harder to find the money each time.
BB, I'll let DD know.
Time I made a cuppa.
Have a good evening all

http://www.mirror.co.uk/money/quids-in/christmas-bargains-aldi-cash-queens-2857890
Which says it's £10. But I can't find The Cash Queens or any mention of it in the paper.
Can anyone tell me which page the voucher's on? I've been through it three times ...
It is £5 in the sarf of the country plus coupons and it is on the back page of of the quids in insert xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

NMLC thats horrible to happen, our local neighbourhood watch have sent a leaflet around lovcally saying that cat-converters are being robbed from cars and lorries in the Medway area as they are easy to cut off and the scrap metal is sold for cash.I'd want to cut their hands off I think if I caught them
Hope your DD has a great birthday RR I know how you feel my eldest DD is 46 next Monday and I still think of her as my baby:) and my youngest is 44 on the 19th of next month and she's still my little'un:):)
They are always your children no matter how grown up they are:):)
Just going to cook some chicken for dinner,I knocked up a mean sheps pie for DD to go into her freezer from her left over joint today and she is very happy with it
Wrapping must be done ASAP as the grandchildren are coming over the weekend to put up my tree with their Mum and I don't want them having crafty peeks:)
Have a good evening everyone whatever you are doing

Evening all
Happy birthday Ms Ruby...how lovely to be 19!
Misty and miserable here, not cold but not very cheerful.
Really need to do some Christmas sorting, not sure what I am getting for anybody, will check present cupboard in the morning and go from there as quickly as possible.
We had roast duck from Aldi for dinner, with roast spuds, sweet corn, green beans, leeks and white sauce, really nice, DS2 meant to be here for dinner, hope he comes soon or it will be dried out.
Stay well and safe

Evening everyone
Catalytic converter theft is rife everywhere, they tend to go for Motorhomes, Vans and 4WD as they are higher off the ground and they can climb underneath to nick them. What is really annoying is they only get £10-15 scrap value but usually costs 3 figures to replace. There are some cat shields about now which make them harder to nick.
:bdaycake: Ruby enjoy your birthday
Well a bit of a waste of a day really, spent most of it trying to source some cable to connect our two batteries together on the 'van. Local independent Electrical Wholesalers have all disappeared. Think we have found some, but will find out tomorrow.
Nipped out to get some cash and a Daily Mirror, went to our local Co-op got a couple of YS items, but they are too dear for anything else.
Working on Skye not jumping up to people, it is working with me after only 2 days, now have to train DH and visitors next. Had a lovely bunch of flowers brought to me today for putting some information together for Yorkshire Water to move a problem forward. To me it was nothing, just something I used to do when working, but it had overwhelmed others with no experience of doing that. It was a lovely thought.
((hugs)), spoons, positive vibes all round
Take care everyone
