Thanks to OP. Opened another TSB via this method. It took about a week for the basic account but it appeared eventually. It was easily converted to an Enhance, online in seconds few. Also transferred, via Faster Payment, sufficient from my 123, to my now renamed existing Enhance 1, to transfer to my Enhance 2. I can now rotate from 1 to 2 to 1 the £1k required, as with my Vantage accounts, to meet their conditions, with no loading externally.0

Turns out they'd blocked my account (& not told me) because i'd opened 3 in quick succession & put £18k through the 3 of them almost immediately. They thought it suss so blocked it, instead of blocking it & contacting me to say so, they thought they'd just block it & not bother to tell me.
Why on earth would they tell you they'd blocked your account?DEBT FREE!

I know this thread is old now but for those who, like me, get the message above.
I have found that, when logged into internet banking, entering the following in the browser address bar.
https://secure.tsb.co.uk/personal/a/secondary_account/
gets you to the application for a secondary account.
Also works for BoS
https://secure.bankofscotland.co.uk/personal/a/secondary_account/
and will most probably work for Halifax and Lloyds too with the appropriate domain name substituted.
I confirm that this could work with Lloyds0 -
I just tried the link for a secondary Lloyds account. All they asked was to confirm my employment details (which is understandable seeing as they already have my personal info on record from my first account), but then when I submitted it, all it said was if successful they'll send me the stuff. No confirmation of whether I was accepted/rejected, no email or anything.
I'm guessing then that this will be manually reviewed. Is this in line with people's experience of applying for secondary accounts via those links?0 -
Yes that is the norm. If you log into your account you should see the second account added. You need to leave 24 hours between applications. As it is the weekend I am not sure if the system is updated until the next working day - Monday."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0
