You are will be able to set up a new payee in the internet app, even if you have not logged in with the secure key.
All you have to do is generate and enter a secure key during the set-up of the new payee.
NB. as an aside, I am unable to log in from the app right now, it just won't even ask for login credentials.0 -

Really? Can you tell me how to setup new payees using the iphone app? I definitely don't get the option to setup a new payee despite having a digital secure key. Or perhaps you can only setup new payees on the Android FD app?0 -
You saidYou can login into the FD internet banking without the 6 digit code but you won't be able to setup new payments.
Seems what you meant when you said "internet banking" was "Iphone app"?
If so, I would agree that you cannot set up new payees on an iphone app.
However, "internet banking" to me is boring old using a browser on your PC. I certainly can add a new payee after I logged in on my PC without the secure key. I just have to specify the secure key when I want to add the account.
It won't work like that with the iphone app. And most likely also not with Android/Windows because it appears you need the secure key to log into them in the first instance.
BTW, if you want to login to FD internet banking from an iphone, you cannot login without the secure key.0 -

Sorry i should have saidYou can login into the FD internet banking on your pc without the 6 digit code but you won't be able to setup new payments, unless you enter the 6 digit code again later on
My beef with FD is that somewhere in the blurb they said you can setup new payees on the smartphone app once you have the digital key installed when clearly this is not the case. The smartphone app itself is pretty much unchanged except that you only need to enter your digital security password to access your account.0 -

Agree with you there.0 -
Considering that FD send me text messages several times a week regarding my transactions, it does make you wonder why they don't offer this a method of confirming the setup of new payees.0
