Had a quick mooch (i.e. purchase) on the M&S Sale site and there is a code for Free Delivery if you spend £30 just put in code FREEDELV.

    Happy bargain hunting :T

Is it 50% off or 70% off in store?

Just had a look at the M & S sale and it seems really poor. There isn't a lot there. Do they add other items as they go along or is that it?

Helen I dont know if you went instore or online but I was really disappointed with the sale instore (London Colney) although this shop is being refurbished atm, maybe others are better.

I have just been online and bought a pile of stuff for DS, it claimed it was all in stock so fingers crossed. free delivery with the code so it hasnt cost me any extra.

Update: Just got my confirmation email saying delivery will be on 10th August!!!! the kids will have grown out of the clothes by then!

I have ordered online before with M&S in the sale and had the confirmation and then a few weeks later they email you to advise that they are out of stock. It is always the things you really wanted as well - so beware.

Is it 50% off or 70% off in store?

it's mostly 50% off- but i did get some sheets that were more like 75% off.

I had some luck finding a few things in the big store on argylle street glasgow
but the smaller braehead shop didn't have much.

i was disappointed. i think i will stick to the m&s clearence store where the prices are similar to these sale prices all year round. (or most likely i won't)

Actually, it is a very good sale if you want Autograph clothes for men. I went to the Bluewater store this morning and spent over £100 on mostly 50% reductions. The tills were awash with people and the member of staff who served me said they had a whole lot of stuff to clear. I watched one well-to-do lady and her daughter FILL a shopping trolley, which she had had to bring up to the first floor from the ladies downstairs; it took 15 minutes to get served. Other men were buying two suits at a time!

Nothing special in our store, no womens shoes were under 9 pounds in the sale and the duvet covers were all over 10!

the sale is total pants. having looked online and not found that much for sale, thought i would venture to the stores. again, very little stock, and the store was no busier than a normal day. there was the odd rail here and there with reduced items, but usually the whole store is more or less cleared out for sale items.

no queues at the tills, so that is one sign that the sale was total rubbish. also it cant be that big a sale, as the website home page is usually a full banner advertising the sale, whereas this year, is a small box in the corner of the screen. im wondering if the sale has really started, or if they are just releasing a few things, to see how sales go, before putting out all the stock.

also some items that are onsale on the website, are still full price instore.

    totally disappointed with the sale

I was pretty disappointed with the last one tbh.

I bought three pairs of jeans in the same size and length online then when they were delivered I tried them on and they were all completely different sizes and lengths even though they had the same labels on. Surely if its a short length they should all be the same? Or does M&S think we can press a button when we need an extra two inches and then take it away again when we want to wear another pair of jeans? :rotfl:

I went shopping in there the other day and mentioned this and the cust serv assistant said she regularly sees women go in with ten pairs of jeans and still come out empty handed!

Will have a quick look instore though tomorrow! :o
