Roadkill Rebels - December 2013

I don't often find much on the floor so haven't joined in the challenge, but i did see something that made me think of this thread:

I found a penny today
just laying on the ground.
But it's not just a penny
this little coin I've found.
"Found" pennies come from heaven
that's what my Grandpa told me.
He said angels toss them down
oh, how I loved that story.
He said when an angel misses you
they toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up
make a smile out of your frown.
So don't pass by that penny
when you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from heaven
that an angel tossed to you.

Well I am just chuffed to bloomin' bits with myself!!! I worked late tonight and took a quick trip to A$da with Mr HOK3Y. I was already up 1p for the day at this point but itching for more. Snagged some receipts in the car park and Mr HOK3Y found a brand new, still sealed USB charger in a cart which came home with us. Because he had that in his pocket, he refused to come into the store and went off to check some carts. I headed in.....

.....came out a couple of minutes later with a 2p and Mr HOK3Y has this huge smile on his face. In the cart he found a winning scratch card for £1!!! I head back in to the store and find a further 6p on my way to the counter to claim the £1.

We set off for home. On the way, I spot a scratch card just lying in a flowerbed so I swoop down. That scratchcard just netted us £10!!!!! Gobsmacked!!!! Thrilled to bits!!!! I will include it in my roadkill total as I count it as cash for my s/s but I will transfer it to w/r at the end of the month. Happy, happy, HOK3Y!!! :T:T:T:T:T:T

Off to a slow start this month, annoyingly. 20p found in Tes*o carpark on the way to work. Fingers crossed for better luck tomorrow!
