That sounds very interesting Camillia_Chubb thanks! I feel as if finding pennies has all of a sudden clicked and it's getting easier and easier.

Well my RAS has definitely kicked in because in the space of 20 minutes I found the following:

1p by the supermarket checkouts
1 tesc0 point from a wombled receipt
Then I went to pay in my previous roadkill finds at the bank (got a funny look but, free money!) and then what did I see on my way back?! A crumpled £5 note by the side of the road!! :j:j:j

Does anyone else peer into the gutter as they walk along,or is that just me ?
As I walk along the footpath,I scan over the edge,figuring that people often drop change/it falls out of their pocket as they get in and out of the car.
Anyway,paid off today:found 2p(2 coins!).
Definitely won't be giving up the day-job anytime soon .

Camillia, thanks for that! I have always known that you can learn to filter in certain things and I am very aware that people filter out most coins - and even if they do happen to notice a penny they will leave it more often than not. I knew that once the rebels started to look, really look, they would start to find more and more and more. It's wonderful to see it in action!

Happybunny, if you work in central Leeds, I am not on your turf.......if you are out in the Northern suburbs we may have a problem!!

SU I do! I try to walk on the edge if the actual pavement so that I can get a view of pavement and gutter where possible. Congrats on the pennies - they all add up!

Well done on all the finds lately, rebels! Yesterday I found just 1p in roadkill but a fair few pounds on w/r and will get my signature updated today......didn't I say this yesterday?!?!

As you'll see from my sig, I scan for roadkill.

But over recent months - in fact most of this year, there's been nothing. Literally I found 1p in two months. Times are really hard here - unless somebody has got there before me

Yes! I walk on that side of the pavement usually and scan left to right in a zig zag fashion so I don't miss anything

Sorry to be late to the party! roadkill rebel no#26 reporting.

found £1 on the floor on wednesday by the cigarette counters in morrisons. Last months total was £4.44 so I want to out do it this month. Going into town tomorrow for the last few things needed for Christmas and will have my eyes peeled. It will be jam packed so fingers crossed for something!.
