I guess it depends on how much you want it and how much you can afford?
We went in with our best and final bid which now I think was the wrong thing to do should have started lower.
Is there anything else on the market of interest to you?0 -
THe vendor accepts and they and the ea feel like they squeezed a good deal out of you, whilst you're hopefully paying under your max budget.
This is all very well but will you be as accommodating when it comes to you selling a house or even a car for that matter?
Also in the current market sellers are pretty much getting what they want round here, there's usually lots of buyers per property.
If you really want a property you need to see the bigger picture and sometimes pay what the seller asks, after all in the great scheme of things a few grand here or there is not worth stressing over if it's a property you really want.
I've known sellers and buyers fall out over a £500 cooker when a £350k house price is involved. Wouldn't want to be the partner of such petty minded people as this sense of self righteous pig headedness would extend into the rest of their lives.0 -

Problem is we really, really cant afford any more than what we have offered, its our absolute top line0 -
As a person who has just accepted an offer one of the offers was dilly dallying and not being very proactive and the other was on the phone asking what was going on. I went with the guy who was keen to get things moving. In my mind if they play it cool then they will drag the house sale.0

We are sstc, small chain, nothing on the market want to buy unfortunetly, like the house but its rural and ideally wanted the village its a few miles out. Could up a little, but unsure whether to or not, would be easier if they said their bottom line, rarther than say they want asking unless that is their bottom line.Pawpurrs x0
