Goodbye T-Mobile, no more rewarding loyalty

Well I AM taken aback! Have been with T-Mobile for 5 years. Only ever have sim-only cheap price plans as that is all I can afford. No data, just call and text with my phone. Contract coming to an end and I call to see what's next.
2 years ago I got as far as pressing 2 to 'leave T-Mobile' and spoke to a lovely guy who got me a good deal cos I was a loyal customer. Last year I spoke to a bored woman who was pushing for me to upgrade NOW, no going away to think about it and finally consented to keeping me at the same rate due to loyalty. This year, I'm basically told to pay more for what I have and when I call to get my PAC code it's okay then, but will have to pay for it before the actual contract ends. No more rewards for loyalty.
So...it's goodbye T-Mobile which, in my experience, has gone way downhill since EE came along.

Check out Tesco Mobile - they have some good sim only deals. And there are fewer complaints about them on this forum than other providers.
They use the O2 network so also check your local coverage but you will generally find that the O2 network gives better indoor coverage than EE or Three.
If you wait till the end of your contract T Mobile shouldn't charge you for a PAC code although their T&Cs might say different.0 -
IF you are a low user (150mins 300texts 500MB data) Ovivo are FREE (after a £20 fee for the SIM card.)0

I agree with Warhead, I've been with them since the start first on payg and now on pay monthly sim only.I've never had any problems with them and their customer service has been great in my experience.:)0

thank you all...i plumped for giffgaff...so far so good. only gripe now is that t-mobile is going to charge me another month as i didn't give 30 days notice. i naively thought that when a contract ended that's that.0
