Hello all,
Not been on here for a while - my mum had a stroke, I've had some health problems and blah, blah, moan, moan. My mum's doing really well in a Rehab Unit and might get home this week (although I think that might be a bit ambitious) and my health is always up and down so I just need to get on with it.
My exciting news is that M&D are getting me a chest freezer for Christmas and I've started investigating the possibility of getting an allotment. The chest freezer's a definite and the allotment a treasured dream which may or may not be realised. Even without a lottie, I have farming friends who so generously give from their surplus fruit 'n' veg so the chest freezer will be well used and I'll be a lot happier and healthier knowing it's well-stocked with virtually organic food (they use slug pellets but that's all in the veg garden).
Today is so far sleepy. Sammy-cat decided 5am was breakfast time (he's old and selfish and I spoil him). I'm going out to Church this morning, shall either sit and knit or go to look at chest freezers with D until lunchtime and then it's off for hospital visiting. Dinner when I come home will be HM Vegetable Slice with HM Oven Chips and Salad. Farming friend may be bringing some veg over tonight so if he does I shall plan what to do with it and make a shopping list in the evening and if he doesn't I shall probably curl up in a warm bed with The Boys and a good book.
Hope everyone has a good, MSE day - I think I might actually have a NSD (and they don't happen very often!)

Good Morning
Bright and cold here, Frog and are about to head out. We have to get a new tyre for the car, we had been nursing a slow puncture for a few weeks but it suddenly changed into a fast puncture  luckily not far from home and in daylight and DH had the car so changed the wheel for the space saver spare. It could have gone on the motorway at 3am when DH was on his way home from work so glad it went when it did.
After that it's the weekly shop at Mr T's. Huge one this week, lots of bits ran out all together so need to replace the replacementsalso have PIL arriving tomorrow to stat for 3 days so need some extra bits.
Lots of running about cleaning and tidying when we get back, luckily don't need to put clean linen on the back bedroom bed as I changed it after they stayed last time so just need to air it
DH will be in for dinner for the first time in a week so we shall have a little treat of chicken fajitas, yummy!
Also, had a very productive evening last night. I sat down and did all the workings for the PIL's tax returns. Just need to check the details and then I can get ready to file them. Just mine and DH's do to then
Have a good day everyone xxWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Hi everyone,
It seems to have been a busy weekend for lots of people, us included. We had visitors on Friday to the new house. They stopped in gisburn at the deli there and bought the best pork pies any of us have ever had. Then we walked it off - the Yorkshire Dales are so lovely, I feel uplifted by the hills and I'm sure my health improves, our part of Bedfordshire is so flat.
On Saturday we went over to Preston to visit mum in hospital, I did both afternoon and evening visiting and by the end was running out of things to say. She's looking very much better and will probably be out this week - I'm going up again on Thursday.
Yesterday we cleaned the house ready to leave and went for a guided walk near Settle, lovely. Back home to a cold house which I'll have to clean today. I need to finish my Christmas shopping as well.0 -

Frosty and foggy here today, have had DDs boyfriend here all weekend as his mum's heating is broken, gave her the number of one of OHs friends and he is fixing it today for them thank goodness- lovely boy but goodness me he can eat!!!
Good luck vibes for Julie today.
Laura, sorry to hear about mum, glad she is on the mend.
I am on holiday again this week, I always take this week off to do my crimbo shopping, have absolutely no notion but I better gat it done, last year had bought virtually nothing before OH became ill so need to get organised! I have a few bits for DD, DS's is ordered, just my brother, the parents and DDs boyfriend to go, and need to buy some cards, will hopefully get it done over the next couple of days cos I hate shopping!
Have a good day all.RIP Iain

Hilstep, you have gone through such a lot health wise, you are still going through such a lot health wise and you say you don't know why your crying.... well I do what you've gone through and are continuing to go through is enough to make the strongest person cry.
Ive always said, I can deal with whatever life throws at me (and i'm going through some pretty awful stuff right now) but if it affects my health then i'll be a wreck.

Grey and murky here so I am not bothering to do any washing, so I am in the process of decluttering the utility room  Having a coffee break so I thought I would grab a few minutes and catch up on the gossip
DH came home with a bag full of bramley apples he found the tree in the environmental area of the school and gave loads to the head so she can sell them off for school funds and he had some as well. This is the first time anyone has known about the tree so everyone is happy, so far they have damsons, cherries and a walnut tree, not to mention what is grown on the allotment.
Lovely to see you back Bitsy
Julie I hope the op goes well today x

Morning all (well just about)
Been busy this morning, washing, shopping, picking up parcel from the PO and trying to find DH a bobble hat for his birthday!
Just popped in to say hi before rushing off to work.
Laura - Hope things improve for you.

DS2 has gone to the Houses of Parliament today with the school so will probably have to pick him up from the station later. Pork chops for tea tonight with veg and spuds.
Have a good day0
