Morning INOD!
Unfortunately, I only have two days TOIL and the bosses here are making me use them in order to fulfil my months notice. No mention of course of the days I've covered for other people with no pay! I'll be starting my new job the day after I finish here (unless I catch an unexpected 48 hour stomach bug!
). I used quite a lot of my allowance when my dad was very ill, just before he died.
We almost had a disaster last night, my tumble drier caught fire
I came home from work and put a load of towels in to dry, changed out of my uniform, sat down and the smoke alarm went off. BF didn't move very quickly because he thought I was burning something in the kitchen ( I know!), I was running round like a mad thing trying to find the fire with DS2. Spotted the smoke coming out of the utility room and forgot all the fire training courses I've done at work!
We pulled out all the wet towels and we could see the flame inside the back of the machine. It wasn't the lint ( I always clean that) so it must have been electrical. Thank goodness I didn't wait till I went to work this morning to put it on, or I wouldn't have had a house to come home to. I think someone up there had their eye on us last night.
Do you think this would count as accidental damage under my contents insurance?
Honestly, what next?
No sales last night and awkward buyer still not returned garment.
Tea break over, best go and do some work. Hope everyone has a good day xNationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000
