7" tablet - why is no-one mentioning Kindle Fire HD?

If it ran stock Android without all the Amazon nonsense/spam/adverts it might be worth mentioning.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Flash working fine on many tablets .

But i would check for any tablet i wanted that it will run flash .0 -
How/where do you find the Amazon app store? (It's not an app on the Google Play store).0

It is basically a crippled android tablet device. The Google Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7 were both similarly priced android tablets when the Kindle came out. Seeing as they were full android and kindle wasn't, it has always been overlooked and with good reason too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Answered my own question - you need to side-load it.

almillar, very useful thanks. So will need to get his log in details and try it out (may have a cheeky bet while I'm at it :rotfl:)
Everything else is a lot more than I wanted to pay apart from a hudl.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Technofobe silly questions time.....
Can I watch the catchups - BBCiplayer, 4OD etc etc on the Kindle fire HD. Also can I watch The live TV options through these sites? I'm talking about through my wifi at home where I have download speeds of about 7.5MB
Thanks - sorry to hijack thread:o

I've been looking at the Asus memo pad. Hudl price range, fairly decent camera, quad core.
Don't know about Flash, though, sorry.import this0 -
JJ Egan - I know you can get Flash onto tablets, as I mentioned, I've done it. But it really doesn't work well for what the OP wants - DESKTOP flash. The site will be expecting a mouse to be used, just for starters, and performance is poor. I think it's a really bad investment to buy a tablet hoping to use these sites as easily as you're used to on a PC.
olias - you would need to find out if the iPlayer, 4OD apps specifically are in the Amazon store. I would have to guess the iPlayer one is, but I don't know. You won't be able to use the (desktop) website to do it reliably as some of it is Flash and some is HTML5 AFAIK. Not that sure though. You want the app really.
7.5mb broadband is plenty.
laurel7172 - the memopad will run Flash about as well as any other Android tablet - not great. It's more about the site you use Flash on, they expect a mouse and keyboard.0
