Hi mamabear,
If you use the search facility (help with that here) you can usually find information on cooking almost anything on the Old Style board.:) I've done the searches for you and these threads should help:
What to do with aubergines
Using up Bean Sprouts
Courgettes
Radishes!
Can I do anything else with lettuce other than salad?
Purple sprouting?
Cauliflower? Recipe please
oodles of carrots (merged)
What to do with kohl rabi?
Cabbage
What do I make with curly Kale?
spruce up your sprouts
Eggs eggs and more eggs!
These websites can be useful too:
vegbox recipes
www.eattheseasons.co.uk
www.iminseason.com
BBC what's in season
I'll add this to the main veg box thread later to keep the links together.

I've tried the Big Barn site to try to find a veg box supplier thatdelivers to Stoke-on-Trent with no joy; I'd prefer a smaller local supplier rather than Abel and Cole etc - could anyone recommend one please ?
Also - I'm looking at ordering whole/half lambs and half pigs etc for the freezer, as a way of keeping costs down longterm. Does anyone know of any good suppliers for those please ? The few that I found are really expensive and more like supermarkets than farms !!
Many thanks in advance for any help.

After reading some of this thread yesterday I felt inspired to investigate further.
I love fruit & veg but tend to be in a rut where veg is concerned as hate all the prepacked, pre cut stuff so I have ordered a Small Veg Box from Riverford which will be arriving next Wednesday.
One of my main reasons for ordering is that for my area the produce is sourced from Stockwell Farm which is only about 8 miles away!
Can't get much better that that:j
Will report back when it arrives.0 -
Can anyone recommend a "really fresh" supplier for SW London? I've seen Abel & Cole vans in the area.
