Can we sanction the jobcentre for incompetency. My manager at our local one shall be getting a visit from me re latest serious incompetency.:footie:0

Are you suggesting that the jobcentre is assigning clients to advisors in this way? That seems pretty unlikely.
If you mean that just by chance one advisor gets a vastly different sellection to another, over a long time period, then that's not going to happen, it's not how statistics work.
I wonder if perhaps you are mixing "2 daily" as an average rate with "2 every day", which is not the sme thing at all.
But we are talking about people who at the end of the day are just doing a job which I am sure they are under a lot of pressure to do. Over the course of say six months yes you are right averaged out the number of people they see who deserve a sanction will probably be roughly the same. However it seems they are not monitored over long periods, if the advisor sitting next door to you has already sanctioned 15 in one week and you have only done 3 then what are you going to do? Its only human nature they will get tougher and issue more when they are not necessarily deserved.0 -
Well, that's your opinion, but I disagree. Some people seem to need a real kick up the backside, and sanctions are an excellent way to provide it. Explaining to staff how many they should expect to give out is part of this.
Sanctions are nothing more than bullying. How is that going to get someone into work. Its come to something awful when the government cant look after their people and provide them with a basic and lets highlight very basic allowance to live on.:footie:0 -
the job seeker can get a sanction for being late but nothing happens to the JC or the WP for making people wait over 1 hour when you have a booked time for an appointment. Can we sanction the jobcentre for incompetency. No, it's come to something when you can't look after yourself, and expect to be spoon-fed, in perpetuity.
You don't seem to understand that there are many of us who want you to be sanctioned, and who think that it's morally right.0 -

Where does that come from? that's really uncalled for, you know nothing of the posters you're infurring about, would this be said to those who produced children to get all they could out of the state that way, no I don't think there is such a thing as a sanction there!?
I really do hope the hand never turns for you then...work wise
There is also never a finer line between Morals & Martadom I've learnt never more so then these last few weeks, thanks ex boss I know you never meant to have us lose our jobs but there we go, anyone can be dealt this hand0 -
These things will average out. I would suspect it is averages the employers are looking for.iammumtoone wrote: »Yes correct some people do, but there are plenty that don't. Thats the issue, everyone is different, say advisor A sees all the people that do need a kick and hands out lots of deserved sanctions, however advisor B's clients that day have done what they should, what are they suppose to do then (its not their fault advisor A saw all the lazy people). It leaves advisor B no choice but to look for reasons/excuses to sanction people that don't deserve it.0 -
Whats the problem. The JC are handing out the cash, the claimant is taking it. I would suggest that puts the JC in control.the job seeker can get a sanction for being late but nothing happens to the JC or the WP for making people wait over 1 hour when you have a booked time for an appointment.
Claimant can always refuse the cash if they don't like the system.0 -
It's called being on time. Then you don't get the length of time in your appointment as they are 'running late' so you can not discuss anything.Whats the problem. The JC are handing out the cash, the claimant is taking it. I would suggest that puts the JC in control.
