Nightbreaker Plus bulbs
A friend of mine recommended these Nightbreaker Plus bulbs, as he uses them in his car and said they improved what he could see, however I fitted them to my Corsa C (projector styled headlights) and cant help but think something's not quite right.
With the standard bulbs in the light pattern is what you expect, the N/S shines further, along the verge and the O/S is shorter.
However with the nightbreakers in, I got this weird pattern:

You can only see about 3ft in front of the car, I can only assume that the painted tip, combined with the mirror effect around the lens is causing this, if you turn them on and look into them you can see a black shadow in the lens which would be the painted tip.
The lights are angled correctly and were only recently checked, but this pattern is weird!

Strange indeed. What type of bulb? (H4, H7, etc.)If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

They are H7s.
It looks as if with the light shining from the sides, one is the light direct from the bulb and where the light beam repeats it's the refection from the mirror effect and as its doing that all around its causing the odd beam pattern0 -
That is weird. I just installed Nightbreaker Plus H4s in a Mii, and it has improved things a lot - nothing like your pattern0

Projector style headlights? So not actual projector ones?
After they aftermarket headlight units? Possibly the issue is with them.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

The Corsa C facelift models come with Projector headlights so might be them.
I had Projector headlights fitted to my Corsa B but i never had any problems like that with the beam pattern from my Osram cool blue bulbs. All your base are belong to us.0 -
Yes, its a Corsa C Facelift model
I had another look at them this morning, all in ok where they should be so really at a loss as to what would cause that. The only thing I noticed was that the original bulbs were slightly wider (the glass part) compared with the Osrams.
Unfortunately I cant try them in the main beam which is of a more traditional style housing without taking the bumper off to change the bulbs (poor design there!)0 -

Are the bulbs inserted correctly?
Strangely on my last car I managed to insert the bulb upside down , soon rectified as I could tell I was dazzling those in front of me.0 -
I was thinking that, but checked this morning they are correct and its not possible to put them in wrong as there's a chunk taken out of the bulb holder to match the bulb
Sorry I meant not seated correctly, tomoorow unless you have a well lit garage, try and re-insert the bulb, or put one of the originals back in a see if they fit the same.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions, I've checked the bulbs and both were in ok, I've had to go back to the standard ones, due to not being able to see more than about half a meter in front of the car.
I did notice that the standard bulbs whilst were the same fixing the bulb can be described as being dumpier than the Nightbreaker, slightly shorter in length and a little wider - perhaps they are slightly out of focus in the projector lights?0
