Lenght, colour, shape almost exactly what I want.
Pity no info about how warm is it and no photos of the inside.
And 199 a bit pricey for something that will be purely dog walking coat...
Hmmm
It's not thin, it has fleece lining. I wear it to walk to work in rain and snow. You can always order it, try it on and if you don't like it, send it back. John Lewis do free delivery and returns.
It is pricy, but to me it is worth every penny as I've never had another coat which is so waterproof. I'm on my second, as I lost weight and my first got too big.0 -

Maybe wearing it? Cut the head off if you like, just post the photo of you wearing your jacket hahash:)
I would, but I got mine from a store called Scats, which doesn't do mail order. It's very similar to the longer version of the one I posted, but mine's navy. It is incredibly dry and it is warm, warmer than my old Barbour stockman was. Those flaps are a storm cape, it stops water coming through the seam at the top of the shoulder, BTW.
One note of warning about waxed coats, they do need regular maintenance, rewaxing frequently and you can't wash them, the best you can do for the lining I. Sponge it down.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -

I'm a bit embarrassed that other people brush /sponge off the mud from their dog walking coats every day
:o:o
I wear my horsing coats too. They get cleaned when I wear them in to somewhere smart (which I also do). My drizabones were expensive and they are ratty now but they get worn for pretty much everything, from dog walking, in to London.
I opt for a roomy enough lighter weight coat so I can wear it well into spring and early in autumn, and layer it over different combinations of appropriate warm wear as the weather gets cold in winter. I'd rather do that than have four or five coats that get the temperature just right, and I prefer to be 'right' temperature if I can be.0 -

Ohhhh, I really like that coat. Really really like it. I will try and talk my daughter into taking my pic later, but that one is far nicer. I'm in the market for some knee high brown or tan boots with a bit of a heel at no more than £50 and from amazon as I have vouchers that are supposed to be for Christmas presents and no cash!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

See? Seriously unflattering. I am wearing a big jumper underneath and have misshapen it with rubbish in my pockets.
