Hate shopping, absolutely hate going into shops - order all online.
BUT last 2 jackets I have ordered, had to send back.
Looked good on photos/descriptions but were wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too thin.
And I need a jacket. For walking Zara in this horrid weather.
I want it longish not that waist touching type. Got to cover my but at least.
Warm but not "bomber" (spelling) type where one looks twice the size. Probably fleece inside rather than padding.
Definitely NOT black.
Waterproof. Windproof.
With practical pockets,
Looked at Tresspas, Regatta, Helly Hansen - can not see anything I like.
Any recommendations? with a link, so I can get it online....
Thanks

I've just got a superdry coat its absolutely fantastic. A little pricey but so warm only downside is they're sizing is a little small. Ordered a 14 (usually a 12) and it's a little snug but I don't mind too much. Would advise ordering 2 sizes up. They come in several colours.

I wear one of these with a fleece underneath if it's really cold. It is long enough to come down to my bottom, and can withstand quite heavy rain.
You can buy much cheaper than that price though0 -
I got a Barbour wax coat for my birthday this year and LOVE it! Not very MSE though as they are seriously expensive.
I also have a Regatta Chrystal jacket which is insulated and partly lined in fleece as well as being waterproof.

Thanks a lot for all ideas....
I want the coat to be almost to me knees (lenght), waterproof (so not feathers inside), windproof and not "bulky looking" with visile padding (like a duvet pockets LOL).
NOt cut at the waist/with belt - just straight....
Needs to be warm and very light , do not want to have to wear a lot under it, do not like those 3in2 types.
My Tresspass has died after about 5 years and can not find anything similar....
"waxed" outer would be great to just wipe off mudd etc from the dog contact.. sigh....
AS it is only for walking the dog - do not want to spend more than 150 really....
Thanks a million, some really nice links here

whats wrong with the 'almost right' Cotswold you linked to? I quite fancy that myself

Cotswold is padded in a way I do not like ... I am fat as it is, do not need this type of extra padding LOL
Looking at this one now...
