    Thanks for all help so far - it was a residential block I was parked in.

    Re the address on the ticket not being compliant, could this alleviate the fine? Or is it simply a separate issue which will come under Companies House?

    Firstly it's NOT a fine.

    The address not being compliant will be a separate issue for Companies House to deal with - under the Companies Act 2006 legislation - they have the power to FINE (yes fine!) companies for offences of this nature.

    RE the fact that it was issued in a residential block - I assume it was a flat then - do you rent it or have you bought the lease?

    There are plenty of threads here with people in a similar situation as yours and this thread gives a few good ideas and letters to write to UKPC (WAIT THOUGH UNTIL YOU RECEIVE NOTICE TO KEEPER)

    Thanks, will do that re the companies house offense!

    I was visiting someone at a university, and parked in a bay outside their halls of residence. Hence don't pay for or own any flat there.
  • OH Just visiting then this makes sense now as I've just also re-read this on your opening post:

    I received this parking charge notice today whilst parked in a bay I was unaware was restricted. Here's the ticket I got (minus my details);

    You state you were unaware of restrictions - so do you have any photographs of the area in question - ie. signage at uni entrance and around car park for terms and conditions (perhaps you could ask your friend to take some?)

    UKPC's signage is often non-compliant with both entry signs and positioning of signs in obscure places - so any photographic evidence could be useful when appealing to POPLA.

    I can get photos taken of the signage. :)

    There was a sign (far away from where I parked) saying 'No unauthorised parking', with a load of writing underneath that in microscopic size! Didn't think to go and read through it all though :(

    Doesn't matter, just come back in Jan 2014 when the NTK arrives and then read the newbies sticky thread re how to appeal at that stage (NOT YET).

    Just opened this letter from them which they claim is the 'Final Reminder', but it's the first piece of correspondence I've had from them. This means I have only today to deal with the appeal. How can I prove I didn't receive a letter previously?

    Anyway, here it is! (Again you need to add .jpg to the end of those links, still can't post images or links, sorry :()

    At this stage is it just a case of going to ukpcappeals.co.uk and sending them my appeal now?

    I'd be tempted to blitz the QR codes too - just in case.

    Edited with new images with blitzed QR codes. (Except image 1 still has a QR code).
