mytyres.co.uk won't take my money!

Trying to order some winter wheels and tyres from mytyres.co.uk is proving rather more difficult that I expected
. I wonder if anyone else has had similar problems or knows the solution?
Last night I placed an order using one credit card of mine. At 05:27 today I received an e-mail saying "we can only process your order upon receipt of advance payment", and instructing me to make a direct bank transfer. No chance! I assumed they must have had an issue with the credit card payment so I phoned up expecting to resolve it quickly, but no. The only way to pay by credit card was to cancel the order and try again. So I got them to cancel the order and placed a new one this evening.
I used a different credit card for the second order and took a screenshot of the relevent screen as proof to myself that I hadn't entered any details wrong (pretty certain I didn't the first time...) Within 30 minutes I get two texts from the bank this second credit card is from. The first advising me that a payment for the right amount had been made and the second telling me that a refund for the same amount was made. I then get an e-mail from mytyres telling me to pay by bank transfer.
So I phone my credit card company to find out what happened and they tell me that they authorised the payment but that then mytyres (delti.com) returned the money.
:wall:
What is also frustrating is that when placing an order mytyres ask for daytime, evening and mobile phone numbers, but rather than phoning to try to resolve the problem they just send a useless e-mail. Oh, and one of the phone numbers they say you can call doesn't work either!
I forsee a frustrating phone conversation tomorrow morning that may well get me nowhere...

Everything about that rings alarm bells to me - A UK company that turns out to be just a front end for an overseas firm, demands insecure payment and no reliable contact.
Find another genuine supplier would be my suggestion!0 -

I would normally totally agree, but I've read comments from many, many people online who have bought from them and have been perfectly happy. I also knew they were a German company before ordering.
Their price for the steel wheel and tyre combination that I want is significantly cheaper than other options I've found too, or I would already have gone elsewhere! Which I may yet have to...0 -
Can you use Paypal?"Retail is for suckers"

I've twice ordered sets of winter wheels with tyres from mytyres, with no issues.
The most recent was earlier this month - they're now sitting on my wife's car ready for the cold snap.0 -
I used tyre universe to order some winter tyres a couple of weeks ago http://www.tyre-universe.co.uk/snow-tyres.html?Reifentyp=326
They were £2 cheaper per tyre than Mytyres
I received my tyres two days after ordering :j I thought that was pretty good considering they were shipped from Germany.
They are operated by a large German company KB KfZ-Teile Internet Vertriebs GmbH. I couldn't find much feedback regarding their UK site, but they have good reviews on German Ebay, Amazon and other German review sites.
They also accept payment via Paypal

Probably an automatic refund because of no stock available.0

Thanks for the tip, but it's wheels and tyres I'm after, not just tyres, and it's the combination that mytyres have the best prices for.0
