Would they maybe like a day out / weekend away, tickets to a football match or event? An experience type present rather than a "thing"?
DH has just rung, they've got his scan results back and have now decided that it is an abscess in his jaw/ throat and they are going to operate on him tonight. He'll probably have to stay in hospital for another week. I asked him again if he wanted me to go out but he didn't see any point in me doing so. He sounded a bit fed up, especially at the timescale, but I said to him that if they are right then he'll have made a major step towards getting better by tonight. Fingers crossed.
Oh, and he told me the holiday we have booked away for later this month will probably fall by the wayside. Think he was not wanting to tell me, but I'd already been working on that basis. At least the dogs will be happy.0 -

I'm sorely tempted.
DH tried to make me do it last time it came up (I love hotel chocolat) and I've never had a problem with cashback tracking with them before (but I've never ordered from tasting club)
I may have to accidently orderHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

oh yes, it was you who told me to ring, i remember now! well i did and they didn't play ballIn the end, there was one "Thomas" themed room left (almost £100 more:eek:!!!) but she said it had thomas land tickets already included in the price. Didn't really help me as I'd already doubled up CC's. so in the end, I've had to give T land tickets to mum and dad. But it's now looking unlikely they will arrive on time sunday to use them. Worst case, if mum and dad can't use the tickets, we will go back in on Monday
Must say that T Land themselves were not very accommodating but the hotel was - shame i couldn't get a discount:o I'm normally great at getting things cheaper but there was no budging from them
