They do say on the website that they take 3-5 weeks for delivery as they are custom made, so someone must have been working overtime!
Had a look, someone has photoshop!0 -
Next doors burglar alarm is going off.
I did the neighbourly thing and stuck my head round the door and noticed their actually home
I shouldn't chuckle but they can't seem to turn it off :rotfl: it's not bothering me too much as I've turned the telly up (double glazing doing its job for once) but my freeview signal has gone to pot so I'm wondering if it's interferring with that  (I know buses and mobiles screw with the signal but a burglar alarm? )
put your ear plugs in dip dapLove it tiger, very MSE! :money::money::money: :T:T:TTiger

Would they maybe like a day out / weekend away, tickets to a football match or event? An experience type present rather than a "thing"?
DH has just rung, they've got his scan results back and have now decided that it is an abscess in his jaw/ throat and they are going to operate on him tonight. He'll probably have to stay in hospital for another week. I asked him again if he wanted me to go out but he didn't see any point in me doing so. He sounded a bit fed up, especially at the timescale, but I said to him that if they are right then he'll have made a major step towards getting better by tonight. Fingers crossed.
Oh, and he told me the holiday we have booked away for later this month will probably fall by the wayside. Think he was not wanting to tell me, but I'd already been working on that basis. At least the dogs will be happy.
Aww, thanks for the suggestions, both boys are completely different, one likes football the other not so keen, and support different teams, which doesn't help.
Hopefully your DH will be feeling better by tomorrow, sounds like a terrible time your both having.Sarahdoll, have you considered an archery set? Sounds dangerous, but Decathlon do one for £50 which includes a bow, arrows with big rubber suckers and a target. You obviously need a little space, but it is something a bit different.

Thankyou, will have to have a look into it.tigerwhite wrote: »Sarah - maybe a theme park and stay over at the hotel (alton towers, chessington etc). could double up CC vouchers perhaps?
I got mine last night - the kids love them. DS took his to bed then promptly turned it off "otherwise the batteries will go". He's 4...:rotfl:
This could have been a good idea, but we have got this booked for June anyway, as my son doesn't want to go away with year 6 in the summer as they are doing a weekend away abseiling and lots of water activities, very unusual child, scared of heights, as in "go ape" sort of thing, but can do roller coasters with ease go figure!!!!!!!0 -

Isn't it just :money::D I only thought of that cos I'm off to thomas land on sunday with OH, mum and dad and 2 kids and we are all staying over. Couldn't use my CC's for hotel though (only for theme park entrance).
Did you ring, and manage to get any discount at all????0 -

I have emailed it to the people concerned. And yes KL, I have got Asbo on it too in the past :rotfl:
Her voice seems to be getting stronger every day, although still a bit raspy. I'll know more when I get home from workwhich will be sooner because I dont have to faff about going to Morrie's on the way home for selection boxes
Ahhhh glad she is a little better, bet she sounds dead cute
Mum just been to Morries for s boxes for me and they have none :mad:0 -
tigerwhite wrote: »oh lutzi - what a tough time for him, especially being on his own. Do you think he is saying no to you visiting cos he doesn't want to scupper plans/work/create a fuss etc? Hope it goes well and he recovers very quickly.
Thanks tiger, I just think it's partly that we're used to spending time apart and partly he can't see any point me going over there to sit around when we can speak to each other several times a day anyway.choirchick wrote: »Hope it all goes well for him Lutz & he has a restful night bless him x
Thanks hun xxAhhhh I do hope he is feeling better soon.
My brother lived abroad for several years in diff countries and was in hosp twice, I have to say that the treatment that he got out there was far better and a lot more speedy than what he would have got if he had been in the uk.
Where is your DH?
Hopefully by this time tomorrow he will be much better
Thanks Katilou. He's in a country renowned for being very efficient and thorough, and their healthcare has certainly lived up to that reputation this week. :THope is not a strategy.0 -
Just been playing with the christmas spreadsheet. At the moment I have about £700 of gifts for DD's.
Total spent has not hit £250 yet (and that includes some cost for CC vouchers). So thats nearly a 2 thirds discount.0 -
Just caught up
That minion cake is out of this world! Love cakes decorated with that kind of precision. Well done mrs aau.
Happy birthday Morgy!
Still trying to get this bloomin Achica voucher. CS guy just said I should make the order then they will discount the value of the voucher 'manually'......has anyone else had to do this? I'm not buying it so I've just asked for a code that works.
Honestly, getting one order from them took long enough and getting a second is like getting blood from a stone!
Yep me! Tried for days with different vouchers, none of them worked so he said make an order and they would refund £20 back with paypal, they did too, no prompting and very quick. Tassimo holder thing I bought with it arrived today0 -
Hey Sarah- how about activities or days out you could have as a family rather than presents? Go-karting or one of those 'go-ape' activity days? That way you have stuff to look forward to after Christmas
Thanks , said above, youngest is scared of heights, but likes roller coasters, strange boy lol. The go karting is an idea though, thanks and also they both would like to do paintballing.0
