Maybe call the post office and see if they will help you by posting it up to you?

I think Royal Mails redeliver service will only allow redelivery to a different address within the area covered by that sorting office.

Who mentioned anything about a redirection service? Just call them and see if you can pay the postage over the phone.

Why do you keep writing things that no one says? (supermarket slip thread comes to mind...as well as this one)

I think OP may have mentioned it here

The address that I supplied for delivery is one in London that I have moved out of whilst I'm away. I have set up a mail re-direct for post to go from this address to my parents house in Northants where I'm living now

Its not what he was implying. Besides, if it was, the OP's comment contradicts what he said anyway...
  • Not sure I would trust Chemist Direct, I used them once, using an e-mail address specific to them. Some months later I started getting spam addressed to the e-mail address only they knew.

You are right wealdroam. Prescription medicines cannot be returned for refund wherever they are purchased from. The DSRs provide a partial exemption for goods which by their nature cannot be returned, which would apply here as they cannot be resold.

OFT's view is that "goods which by their nature cannot be returned" refers to where returning the goods is a physical impossibility. Also, whether they can be resold or not is irrelevant as there is nothing linking the retailers ability to resell with the consumers right of cancellation. To the contrary, the right of cancellation (where it exists) is unconditional.

I sell items that may raise health and safety concerns if returned unsealed. How are such products treated under the DSRs?
3.41 The first question to consider is whether such items fall under the exceptions listed at paragraph 3.38, for example goods that by reason of their nature cannot be returned. The DSRs do not define this category any further but we consider this exception to apply only where returning the goods is a physical impossibility or where they cannot be restored in the same physical state as they were supplied. This exception may apply, for example, to items such as latex or nylon clothing which could become distorted once worn.
3.42 We are conscious of concerns about reselling items which may raise concerns about hygiene. However, the DSRs do not link cancellation rights with a supplier’s ability to resell items as new.
