Blue badge and car windscreen covers

I see the OP's original problem is being ignored and replaced with a debate about other matters.
If you read the rules rather than the guidance it states:
"12. For the purposes of section 21(4A) of the 1970 Act a disabled person’s badge is displayed on a vehicle in the prescribed manner if–
(a)the badge is exhibited on the dashboard or facia of the vehicle, or
(b)where the vehicle is not fitted with a dashboard or facia, the badge is exhibited in a conspicuous position on the vehicle,
so that the front of the badge is clearly legible from the outside of the vehicle."
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2000/682/contents/made
This suggests (assuming you have a conventional dashboard) that you could display it on the facia but facing a side window provided it is clearly legible.
The guidance with the blue badge refers to being visible through the front windscreen but this is not the legal requirement it is just guidance.
I used to use a blue badge and on the few occasions I needed to cover the windscreen I put the badge next to the small side window without any comeback but it may not work with every vehicle design.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Since it's precisely the opposite of what I actually wrote, and as fatuous and irrelevant a point as you can possibly make, obviously not.0 -

Good, you were not as clear as you seem to think though. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Glad I'm able to help you understand that "gentle revs" is not the same as "driving like fury". :rotfl:0 -

Read my first post again, it is perfectly clear, rather than taking phrases out of context to make an invented point. I replied to correct your "sounds nonsense" reply to only_mee's post on the previous page to augment his point which originally stated the correct facts about engine wear when cold (which you took issue with). I'm glad you've finally come round to the correct conclusion.0
