I seem to consistently win very small prizes, likes lots of £20 vouchers, I started in August 2012 and by spring of this year I hadn't won much at all, I was getting very disheartened. My missus suggested a 3 month ultimatum, if I didn't win something say over £100 then I would stop. Then in May I won a holiday (5 weeks before our wedding), now I can never stop, I still get disheartened sometimes, even after that massive win. It does help to keep a log of what you've won, and tally all that up to see what it's worth, that helps me.

I think half the people on here are able to not expect a win and just carry on without it getting to them, but the other half (myself included) really can't help but expect a win, especially after putting so much time into it. I do about an hour a day or more, and always go through all the posts.

Lots of great advice on this post, take a short break, or enter less comps and use the time saved to do something that you enjoy.

A good way to save time and something that I've done in the past when I got back off holiday. Rather than go through all the posts, just do searches on what you really want to win, for example, search keywords: Ipad, holiday, laptop, tablet, cash, xbox, ps4, ps3, wii, TV, television. These are some of mine and this helped me catch up after having 2 weeks off comping.

Good luck, here's hoping you have a big win soon that rejuvinates your love of comping.

I used to comp loads when my kids were smaller and I was home all day, and did have a few pretty good wins, only just recently started again and I've won 3 things in 3 weeks, keep at it xx

Oh and I'm pickier too now, especially after winning tickets to a film premiere and not being able to go!!! like I only enter holiday comps for 4 people because if I won one for 2 i'd not leave the kids etc

I never expect to win and I have won a lot over the past year. I started last November. I normally only have 2-3 wins a month but they are biggish ones and well worth the effort! Keep going!

I agree with many here. I think everyone goes through a spell of not winning much or anything. I started a new business last year and took time off comping. I then restarted at the start of this year, didn't win a jot and took another break. I then found an email telling me I had won £2k of shopping vouchers and £1k worth of Samsonite vouchers. The comp ended in July and was very likely a comp I just entered on a whim. Moral of the story is that you can often win when least expected since that win I speak of only required an email address and I can imagine people entering these such comps 100's of times with separate email addresses when I only used the one. It does happen so keep your chin up and you never know what might be around the corner.

Plus, this is one the best times of year for comping with the advents and such. I wish you all the best.

Having a dry spell here to - I have had a few days not entering but have started to enter some again. Keep reminding myself you have to be in it to win it.

Look don't give up comping is about chance you have to remember for every comp you enter there's possibly hundreds if not thousands entering to, plus with most theres only one winner.
Just like chance luck goes the same way we all have dry spells with no wins and at times little wins, but time always goes round that luck changes as well and if your not winning now you certainly won't be winning on a break from comping, so keep trying with this knowledge luck will come back to you just be patient.
